Travis Hunter, projected to be one of the top three picks, has found his go-to person for the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft and it’s not his head coach Deion Sanders. For any guidance or advice, the college football two-way superstar has decided to consult Jayden Daniels, who is preparing for the Washington Commanders’ first NFC Championship game in three decades.

Daniels has absolutely become the talk of the town as every person watching the NFL playoffs is enchanted by the talent and prowess the rookie quarterback possesses. The 2024 Heisman Trophy winner is also one of those people while awaiting the NFL Draft.

In the latest episode of The Travis Hunter Show, the young wide receiver responded to a question about whom he would turn to for guidance during the pre-draft process, which begins next month. While many expected him to name Coach Prime, he named the LSU alum without any hesitation.

Who was a high pick I can actually count on? Actually, it would be Jayden Daniels because he texted me before the Heisman and stuff like that. I spoke to him a little bit but yeah it would be Jayden Daniels.

Travis Hunter said

Compared to his peers drafted in high picks, Daniels has stood out exceptionally as he is set to earn the 2024 Rookie of the Year award in February. Acquired as the second overall pick, the rookie has exceeded the already advanced expectations of him being a high draft pick. And as Hunter prepares for his NFL debut, he aims to be as impactful as Daniels– or even more.

Travis Hunter draws inspiration from Patrick Mahomes and Kirk Cousins’ financial savvy

While his mentor for the pre-draft process is sorted, the Colorado Buffaloes star cornerback also shared a couple of names to be his financial advisor once he enters the league. Inspired by Patrick Mahomes and Kirk Cousins’ financial management and contract negotiations, Hunter revealed he would go to them for any financial guidance he requires.

It would probably be Patrick Mahomes,” Hunter said about a player who appears to be financially cautious.

It would be Patrick Mahomes, as he’s not flashy, or Kirk Cousins. It’s got to be one of those because Kirk Cousins drives a minivan, and Patrick Mahomes, he never been too flashy, he just has simple stuff.

The 21-year-old is impressed by the Kansas City Chiefs elite quarterback, who never flaunts his wealth despite being one of the highest-paid quarterbacks in the league. The same goes for the Atlanta Falcons veteran quarterback, whose amazing thrifted car collection really caught Hunter’s eye.
