Travis Hunter has had quite a busy past few days, especially being a finalist for the Heisman Trophy. To add to that, the football player bagged a huge endorsement deal with Adidas. While the fans were happy for the Colorado Buffaloes wide receiver, there was furore over the inclusion of his fiancee Leanna Lenee.

Travis Hunter has added his recent Adidas partnership to his $5.2 million worth of NIL deals. As a part of the deal, the athlete appeared in an advert on Thursday. Hunter showed off some of his dance moves and struck athletic poses. From one point forth, Hunter’s fiancee Leanna Lenee was also featured, which urged some discouraging opinions on social media. Suffice it to say, the fans were inquisitive of Lenee’s involvement if the deal was between Hunter and Adidas.

Travis Hunter and Leanna Lenee are set to get married supposedly next year. That comes provided the Buffaloes QB gets signed in the 2025 NFL Draft. Speaking of which, there is little to no contention about his absence in the league next year. During a recent media day, Hunter assured the fans that he was ‘definitely’ going to the NFL in the coming year.

He will likely announce his decision soon. Before that, the fans will know whether Hunter will be adding the Heisman Trophy to his extensive collection or not. The nomination came after he racked up 1,152 receiving yards, 14 touchdowns as a receiver, 11 pass breakups, and four interceptions playing cornerback this season.

Travis Hunter and Leanna Lenee have been dating since 2022. Earlier this year, the two also got engaged. Keeping that in mind, it goes without saying that Hunter and his fiancee are pretty close. Nonetheless, the fans were extremely stern about Lenee’s involvement in the advert.

Some users called Hunter a ‘simp’ for having his girlfriend feature in the video. Meanwhile, others were concerned with Nike not signing Hunter before Adidas did. Here are some of the reactions:
