The Colorado Buffaloes’ season was successful due to the contributions of star duo Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter. Both of them will now look to script a new chapter as they are highly ranked prospects expected to be picked within the top 5 of the NFL Draft.

Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders’ chemistry was special. Their connection on the field was natural and the latter’s 96 receptions, 1,258 yards, and 15 touchdown season is a testament to their dynamic. Both Hunter and Sanders will not be able to wear the same jersey in the near future but there is nothing but love and respect between them.

At the NFL Combine press conference, Travis Hunter was asked what makes Shedeur Sanders a special player. “What makes his game so special is his accuracy and love for the game,” Hunter responded immediately. It is not surprising to hear Hunter mention these traits as the ones he admires in Shedeur. It is natural to see him love the game of football as his father Deion Sanders was one of the most passionate defensive backs to play the game.

Sanders’ accuracy is impressive. He can run with the ball and throw it anywhere on the field. With a 74% completion rate, 4,134 yards, and 37 touchdowns over the last season, Sanders has shown that he is ready for the big league.

Shedeur Sanders can be the first overall pick in the 2025 Draft

The quarterback’s draft stock has been moving over the past few days. At one point, Sanders was expected to go first overall but after notable analyst Albert Breer called him out for lacking athleticism, having a mediocre arm, and lacking power, his stock tanked.

Shedeur Sanders has decided to abstain from taking part in throwing drills at the combine. He intends to show up for the interviews and dedicate his energy to presenting himself as worthy of being the first overall pick and a potential franchise quarterback for an NFL team.

Apart from him and Cam Ward, the other quarterbacks of this class are not being viewed as immediate NFL starters. Irrespective of where he lands up, his work ethic and love for the game will guarantee Shedeur Sanders success in the NFL. It will be interesting to see if he will be the first overall pick or if his teammate Travis Hunter will be the one to be chosen first.
