College football might have started yesterday, but all eyes were on the Colorado Buffaloes as they took to the field today. Going up against a spirited North Dakota State Bison program that finished a brilliant 11-4 last season it was not going to be easy. But the world of college football had their eyes on what head coach Deion Sanders, Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter were going to do.
They did not disappoint in their first game and won the game. But the highlight of the day was Travis Hunter‘s catch with 8 minutes left in the game. On a 3rd and goal play, Hunter ran a quick slant route to the outside. Shedeur Sanders threw him the ball, but it was moving away from his receiver. With the defender’s hand around his neck, Hunter reached out with his right hand and pulled the ball towards him.
The result? A touchdown that gave the Colorado Buffaloes an 11-point lead, safe enough to put the pressure on the Bison despite trailing them up until the half. This was also Hunter’s third touchdown of the night as he finished with 132 yards receiving, without counting the defensive snaps he took throughout the night.
Head coach Deion Sanders will be proud of his young buck. With the way Shedeur Sanders and Hunter are balling, it might not be a reach to consider that their head coach’s prophecy will come true. After all, there has not been a player in recent memory who played almost the entire game and still came up with the highlight of the game.
Fans lose their minds on Travis Hunter’s final touchdown
Fans of the game already saw a great end zone catch from Travis Hunter on the previous drive. Then after all those defensive snaps to grab the ball with a defender almost flattening him was out of this world. They also saw that Hunter had go under the arm of the defender to get his hand on the ball. It goes to show the motor the junior has. Something that will take him places in the NFL.

Fans watching the game took to social media to again have a look at the highlight. They commented on that to show their disbelief. Check out some of those reactions below;
It is not that the Colorado Buffaloes had a game to be completely proud off. They still need a to clear up a lot of issues which almost cost them the game. But their foundation is much better than last season. Now all they have to do is study film, make adjustments and get ready for the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
