Travis Hunter was declared the winner of this year’s Heisman Trophy. However, instead of celebrating with his fiancee Leanna Lenee, the football player has found himself betwixt internet controversy. The public scrutiny towards his fiancee has now led her to deactivate social media.
Days following up on the Heisman Trophy ceremony, Travis Hunter and Leanna Lenee have been engaged in defending themselves on the internet. Apparently, the internet has taken an interest in the couple’s personal life, often calling them out.
While they highly regard Hunter’s contribution to the sport, they don’t seem to have a tolerance for Lenee. Amid the reproach, Leanna Lenee has deactivated her Instagram account taking Travis Hunter’s lead.
This particular row of criticism started after the internet found Lenee’s reaction to Hunter’s announcement as the winner of the much-regarded trophy deeply unsettling. A clip made rounds on the internet where everybody gave Hunter a standing ovation—everyone except Lenee, who was urged by Colorado head coach Deion Sanders to stand up for him. This caused the public to speculate on their dynamics.

Ever since then, the internet has been at it trying to dig up dirt. This comes after Hunter will be making his debut in the NFL in the 2025 draft. While with Colorado, he played for both offense and defense. Per reports, he will likely have to choose one at the next level. In the next couple of months leading to his NFL career, Hunter will likely be getting into shape and making his pick.

After the Heisman Trophy ceremony took its course and the internet finished their bashing, Travis Hunter had some things to say. Furious over the trolling, the football star sent a stern message to the critics. Explaining the hurt felt by Leanna Lenee, Hunter took to a Twitch livestream to talk about it.
Travis Hunter was vehement when he warned internet users to worry about their businesses. He specifically mentioned the clickbait pages to stop the criticisms. Additionally, the Colorado star cautioned that he would take strict actions in the scenario the attacks did not stop.

Leanna Lenee did not fall short as she took to TikTok to clear out the speculations on the internet. However, that was for a different claim the internet seemed to have been making about the couple. Per their subjective opinion, Lenee seemed to have been expressing annoyance at Hunter spending time with the fans. However, as it turned out the ‘fans’ were employees. Suffice to say, it was only the tip of the iceberg.
