“This is disappointing” – Travis Kelce attending Morgan Wallen’s concert doesn’t sit well with Swifties

Swifties believe that it was a bad move from Travis Kelce to associate himself with Morgan Wallen, who wore Harrison Butker's jersey.

Travis Kelce ruffled a few feathers during the weekend when he showed up alongside country singer Morgan Wallen at Arrowhead Stadium. This irked the Taylor Swift fans.

On Saturday, a video of Wallen, Kelce, Patrick Mahomes, and Chris Jones walking through the stadium tunnel toward the stage went viral. The ‘Last Night’ singer seemed to be in his usual chirpy mood as the Chiefs players accompanied him.

However, he perhaps wasn’t aware of the outrage on social media from the ‘Swifties.’ They weren’t too happy to see Kelce, who is also the boyfriend of Taylor Swift, with Wallen, who has a checkered past.

Wallen may be one of the most famous country singers in America, but he also has an extensive list of controversies. The 31-year-old first faced the wrath of social media back in 2021 when he allegedly used a racial slur in a video.

He has had multiple run-ins with the law, including a 2020 arrest for public intoxication and another arrest earlier this year for reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct, per Parade Magazine.

Swifties never take kindly to wrongdoers, and they were genuinely surprised to see Travis Kelce with Wallen.

Wallen wearing a #7 Kansas City Chiefs jersey made it even worse. That specific number belongs to Chiefs all-pro kicker Harrison Butker, who, similar to Wallen, stepped into the bad light because of his statements.

While giving a speech at a Catholic institution in Kansas, Butker advised the graduates, who were mostly women, to think long and hard before joining the workforce and that being a homemaker was a better choice.

The three-time Super Bowl winner drew much flak from the online community, especially the Swifties, because he used a Taylor Swift song as a reference in his argument. It got to a point that a petition was started against Butker to be removed from the Chiefs team.

The 29-year-old, on the other hand, refused to take back his words. He recently criticized the drag queen’s portrayal of the Last Supper at the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics.
