‘Out of shape’ Travis Kelce gets brutally called out by sports analyst for partying all off season with girlfriend Taylor Swift

The Kansas City Chiefs are locked in on their goal of winning a third straight Super Bowl. So far this season, Patrick Mahomes has led his team to three straight victories as they march towards that goal. But his partner in crime, Travis Kelce, has not had much to talk about. Now an analyst has pointed at something involving his girlfriend Taylor Swift as something that has had an impact on his game.
ESPN analyst Todd McShay was a guest on The Ryen Russillo Podcast. When speaking about the Chiefs and their games so far, he pointed out the reason Travis Kelce has had a forgettable season so far.
Every show I watch, every broadcast I watch for the last few weeks, it’s like, are we not allowed to say that he’s out of shape? That he’s been partying all offseason? He’s been jet-setting around with the most famous person probably in the entire world. I want you to take a picture from preseason 2022 and then take a picture preseason 2024, they’re barely the same human being.Todd McShay said
McShay was clear that the opposition coverages have been the same for Kelce ever since he broke out. It is just that he is no longer the athlete that he once was.
Todd McShay was making the point that when other players usually train in the offseason, Travis Kelce was with his girlfriend and in parties. He did not suggest that spending time with his girlfriend was wrong. But, as per him Kelce, did not put in the work in the offseason to negate that time off.
For McShay, there is nothing else to explain his abysmal performances so far. Travis Kelce has had a grand total of 69 yards in his first three games. At the same time last season, he racked up more than double that.
34-year-old Travis Kelce is playing himself into shape
As Todd McShay continued to talk about Travis Kelce, he too understood that the star tight end is trying to play himself into shape. Not an easy task in the NFL, considering one cannot expect to be burning as much on routes when they are not targeted. With other offensive weapons on the roster, the rock is finding other takers.
The three-time Super Bowl champion has to put in the work along with being active in practice. Only then can he expect to be back to his best by the end of their bye week. As after that, they have a host of playoff and Super Bowl contenders to deal with.
With everyone looking to dethrone the Kansas City Chiefs, Travis Kelce has to return to being the red zone threat. It is probably a good thing that Taylor Swift will be back with her Eras Tour soon. He needs all the focus necessary to avoid becoming a negative topic in media circles.
