One of the biggest highlights of the NFL involving the Kansas City Chiefs for the past two years has been the pop superstar Taylor Swift. Since she began dating their star tight end last season, she attended numerous games and significantly influenced the NFL’s economy. However, Jason Kelce believes her impact extends beyond finances.
While talking about childhood sports films, the Kelce brothers stumbled upon the subject of the Chiefs’ 11-1 success this season–most of which were close finishes.
The ESPN analyst seems to believe that Kansas City’s lucky charm has been his brother Travis Kelce’s ladylove, who carries an aura around her that could have influenced the Chiefs. Travis instantly replied, laughing:
While the word ‘Tayvoodoo’ has been defined in Urban dictionary as well, the future Hall of Famer was referring to the different meanings of the term which is coined by the internet to explain the undeniable phenomenon surrounding Swift and the reaction of those who appear to slight the “Lover” singer.
Swifties notice a pattern of Chiefs never losing when Taylor Swift attends
Since the fairytale couple went public with their relationship, Swift’s presence at NFL games became a fixture which also divided the football fans. However, the Swifties, as always, observed an intriguing phenomenon where a team who openly commented about the 14-time Grammy winner, always lost to the Chiefs.
If that isn’t convincing, consider this: Travis’ Kansas City has never lost a game the pop star has attended. Their recent close finish victory against the Las Vegas Raiders was yet another game that the Swifties attributed to the phenomenon of “Tayvoodoo.”
This has been a topic of discussion beyond the NFL with the Swifties noting that all those who have slight the 2024 Spotify’s most-streamed artist, often face consequences, including many high-profile figures such as Matty Healy, Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, and Scooter Braun.
