NFL star Travis Kelce recently garnered all the attention from the NFL as well as the NBA community. This was because, in their most recent episode of the “New Heights” podcast, Akron-based NBA star LeBron James joined in alongside Travis and his brother Jason Kelce. James spoke with the Cleveland Heights locals about their common roots in Northeast Ohio.

Before that, Travis Kelce took the opportunity to flaunt his insane ‘LeBron James’ shoe collection on the podcast. The shoes that he displayed were: LeBron 7 “HWC” PE, Zoom 20.5.5 “Triple Double” PE, LeBron 8 “SVSM” PE, LeBron 4 Playoff PE, LeBron 3 China, LeBron 6 Olympic “United We Rise” and the LeBron 2 “Dunkman” PE.

In addition, Kelce disclosed that he transformed a bedroom in his house into an enormous walk-in wardrobe. Also, he is a frequent online shopper who is often scrolling and adding items to his cart. For his size 14 or 15 feet, he estimates that he owns at least 300 pairs of sneakers. This showcases his immense love for sneakers.

Aside from this, Travis Kelce has made his feelings known several times that he is a ‘big-time’ Cleveland sports fan. Kelce deserves recognition for his consistent attendance at Cleveland athletic events in recent years, including throwing out the ceremonial first pitch during the Cleveland Guardians‘ home opener last season(2023-24).

He also had his own bobblehead night at a Cavaliers game earlier in 2024, which turned out to be one of the team’s most memorable victories of the season, along with his brother Jason.

On the podcast, Jason Kelce, a former center for the Eagles, reminisced about LeBron James‘ time at St. Vincent-St. Mary in Akron during his high school years and expressed gratitude for the enormous reputation he attained before joining the NBA. In addition, he also questioned James about the famous 2016 Cleveland Cavaliers win. James did not hesitate to answer.

Man, there’s nothing better for me than that Cleveland one. Being down 3-1 to the greatest team ever, the 73-9 Warriors.. and coming back to win that series—it was for the city of Cleveland and all of Northeast Ohio. That’s why you saw the emotion.

According to James, the 2016 victory was much more than just a title. It was about giving Cleveland, a city that had been waiting 52 years, a victory that it had long desired. Travis Kelce, a TE with the Kansas City Chiefs, also talked about the significance of that occasion for him. He remembered being at the winning parade and expressed gratitude to James for the impact that title had on the city.
