Travis Kelce feels DeAndre Hopkins’ transition as Patrick Mahomes’ biggest weapon has been the “smoothest” he has ever seen
It has only been a couple of weeks for Travis Kelce and DeAndre Hopkins to bond with each other, but the veteran wide receiver has already made a positive mark on him and the Kansas City Chiefs.

Travis Kelce believes DeAndre Hopkins’ transition from the Titans to the Chiefs has been flawless. Kelce credited the veteran receiver for picking up the Chiefs offense after just a week of training.
Despite being aware that Hopkins’ inclusion will limit his receptions and yards, Kelce only had positives to say about the former Texans and Cardinals player. During Wednesday’s episode of the New Heights podcast, Kelce praised the All-Pro wideout for being a true professional.

“It’s the smoothest transition I’ve ever seen. It’s been so f*cking cool just to have him. It’s given everybody kind of a juice & a morale. I call em swag champs. We don’t win that game without him.” pic.twitter.com/K3JLTV9bE4
Before joining the Chiefs, Hopkins had just one touchdown to his name while playing for the Titans in six games this season. In the win over the Buccaneers, he scored two for the Chiefs. Kelce wasn’t too shabby either, recording his first 100-yard game after an early season slump.
Travis Kelce raved about DeAndre Hopkins from day one
It wasn’t the first time Kelce heaped praise on the five-time Pro Bowler. In a previous episode of the podcast, he discussed the influence of Hopkins on the players and his professionalism.
Quarterback Patrick Mahomes has also been massively impressed by Hopkins’ addition.
Hopkins enjoyed his first start in front of a packed Arrowhead and Taylor Swift. Apart from two scores, he further contributed with 86 yards from eight receptions.
If the Chiefs weren’t favorites to secure the three-peat, then they became one after adding DeAndre Hopkins. It’s a win-win situation for both parties.
Hopkins was on his way into the Hall of Fame with seven 1,000-yard seasons and three first-team All-Pros under his belt. The only thing he was missing was a Lombardi Trophy, and with the Chiefs, he can certainly hope to fulfill it as they continue to build on their 8-0 start to the season.
