In the latest episode of their podcast, New Heights, Jason Kelce and Travis Kelce poked fun at the Carolina Panthers while praising Travis’ teammate Tershawn Wharton for his heroic save of a young boy during the Panthers-Chiefs. During the post-game, Watson pulled out a natural reflex to save the boy who fell through the stands.

As the players exited the field, a group of supporters gathered near the stands at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte near the tunnel. In a clip shared online, a young boy can be seen leaning over the railing, hoping to get the attention of the passing stars. The child subsequently loses his balance and falls head-first through a gap towards the ground. Thankfully, Wharton was standing below and caught him just in time, saving him from serious harm.

On Wednesday, the brothers revisited the incident with the older Kelce calling the action, “the play of the game”. Travis expressed feeling a little bit sad for not acting in the moment and choosing to walk on. However, he admitted being reassured knowing that Tershawn Wharton had caught the kid, breaking his fall.

I actually saw this, and I kept on moving, I felt bad after. I was to the left and I was like, ‘Oh s***. You got him Terk? Hell yeah, Terk’s got him.

Travis Kelce said

He later ripped into the management for the architectural flaw at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina. He also suggested the kid sue the Panthers stadium for the accident, which could also mean he could get rich soon.

I don’t know who the brainiac was that cut the railing there, what the f*** is the gap for? He should f***ing go to school with a neck brace on and sue the Panthers. Get rich quick kid.

Travis Kelce added

Jason added on the incident, noting that the Panthers are ‘anti-kids’.

Travis Kelce aside, Tershawn Wharton described the heroic act

In an appearance on the Pat McAfee Show, Tershawn Wharton broke the silence on the heroic save amid the tight win against the Panthers. The defensive tackle was almost like a wideout on Sunday, leaping to his feet quickly and saving the young child from eventual danger.

Honestly it was natural reaction, I kind of grabbed him right by the back of his back and kind of pushed him into the stands a little bit more.

Tershawn Wharton said

Pat McAfee asked the DT if he was able to reach out to the kid after the incident. Wharton, who had two tackles that day, expressed that he hasn’t been able to. However, he did address the kid and invited him to their next game.

I haven’t, but I would like to reach out to him, get him out to a game. Reflect him with a little bit more, if I could.

Tershawn Wharton added

The Kansas City Chiefs clutch onto their conference leadership position with the win. They are 9-1 to the season after the Buffalo Bills snapped their perfect game record attempt. The Bills aren’t far behind at 9-2, both teams can clinch a playoff spot this week in case certain conditions are met. The Panthers, on the other hand, are having another poor season, but they did overcome their win number from last year.
