Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are close to making their engagement official, but not before an ironclad prenup. The new development may sound like trouble for the casuals, but the celebrity NFL pair believes it’s the right move before their big move into settling down together for good.

Kelce and Swift recently celebrated their one-year dating anniversary, with rumors of engagement floating around. One source even hinted that the 3x Super Bowl winner and the pop icon have already tied the knot in an exclusively private ceremony.

Those are still speculations, but an insider close to Swift told Life & Style that both are eager to be together but not before signing a prenup.

Swift reportedly has a net worth of $1 billion and Kelce’s is $70 million- they would prefer to settle things and start their married life on the right path. They are currently occupied with their busy schedule, although Kelce wanted to fly to Swift right after he heard about the attempted terrorist attack last month.

Swift is reportedly ready to move in with Kelce in his new $6 million mansion, which he bought last year. According to Travis’ dad, Ed Kelce, he let Swift decorate the property and her favorite place, the kitchen because she enjoys cooking for her beau.

It all points to the signs of the couple tying the knot, however, after agreeing to a prenup.

The formalities are just their schedules that have gotten in the way, as well as the logistics of a prenup, which is obviously complicated by the vast amounts of money involved on both sides.
