Travis Kelce has officially entered his anchor era. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end hopped on with his new game show, ‘Are you smarter than a celebrity?’. With the teaser out now, the NFL fans have not been much liberal on the Chiefs player.
Travis Kelce has recently been navigating his life outside of football. Venturing into new areas, he has released the trailer for his new show, a spin-off of the hit FOX show, ‘Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader?’. The format of the show centers on a panel of adult contestants who try answering elementary level questions, taking the help of celebrities should they require.
The clip has made quite the buzz on the internet, with mixed reactions from people towards Kelce’s hosting style. The 90 second clip saw Travis Kelce singing, dancing and walking off in bright color suits, practicing self-roast.

The series will launch on October 16 with three episodes, followed by weekly releases. The hosting is Kelce’s most recent endeavor, but not the first. Only days back, Travis Kelce’s cameo in Ryan Murphy’s Netflix horror series Grotesquerie premiered. Not just that, he’ll soon make a cameo in Adam Sandler’s upcoming Happy Gilmore sequel. The Chiefs tight end has clarified about maneuvering his life beyond NFL.
Speaking of which, Kelce’s critics has been having field days recently. The Chiefs tight end has been at the receiving end of scrutiny after his slow start to the 2024 NFL season. However, he silenced them his recent performance in the Chiefs’ 17-10 victory over the LA Chargers. Now, it remains to be seen if he will get back up in the Hollywood realm as well.
Travis Kelce’s hosting had a rough landing
Post the release of the trailer, Travis Kelce received a wave of conflicting views from the public. Some fans were not fond of Travis Kelce’s hosting style, while the other commented on his attempts at humor.
Another section of people commented on their exhaustion from seeing the Chiefs tight end on every other screen. “He’s so fuc*ing cringey its not even the charming kind ohmygod“, one user typed. Besides the critics, there was, however, also a small portion of the internet that was welcoming of the new show.

With the polarizing opinions surfacing on the internet, the show has made quite an entry, although it remains to be seen if Kelce’s role as a host will continue after this show or not. Whatever the case, the fans surely won’t hold back in telling the Chiefs tight end.
