Travis Kelce is cool with Donald Trump attending the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl LIX fixture against the Philadelphia Eagles in New Orleans on Sunday, February 9th. The star tight end believes it’s an honor to have the President of the United States of America watching their game live.
Kelce spoke with the media on the first day after arriving in NOLA. He talked about the Chiefs’ chances of a three-peat, praised his girlfriend’s Pop-Tarts-making skills, and questioned why the media was buying into the referees are ‘rigging’ football games for the Chiefs theory.
On Tuesday, one reporter asked Kelce about his opinion on Donald Trump attending the Super Bowl. The 35-year-old revealed in a calm voice that it’s an honor to host the president.
“That’s awesome, it’s a great honor no matter who the president is.”

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift don’t see eye to eye with Donald Trump
Kelce is willing to keep aside his differences and welcome Trump even though Swift is set to be present as well. The beef between Trump and Swift goes back a while. Before the recent elections, the pop icon endorsed Kamala Harris, disappointing Trump.
Trump’s presence at the Caesar Superdome will be the first time a sitting president will attend and watch a Super Bowl game. In a recent press meeting, the 78-year-old indirectly praised Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
Later, when reporters looked for a reaction from Mahomes, the 3x Super Bowl winner said he did not see the clip.
Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes: "It's always cool to be able to play in front of a sitting president. I didn't see that clip. It's cool to hear that he's seen me play football and respects the game I play."

What success in football means for Mahomes

It’s not every day a team gets to win three consecutive Super Bowls. Famous names, including soccer legend Lionel Messi, don’t want to miss being part of history.
