Travis Kelce is slowly setting things up for what would be the final few years of his NFL career. The Kansas City Chiefs have set themselves up for success with their off-season moves. This means the superstar will get a few cracks at the Super Bowl. But the tight end is also thinking about what he will do after his footballing career draws to a close. Some of those things are on the line of what his brother Jason Kelce is about to do.
The brothers were talking on their podcast New Heights about a recent news about the Philadelphia Eagles ownership. Jason Kelce suggested that they buy a minority stake in the franchise.
You can't call a game or do anything like that. Cause the whole Tom Brady thing. He wanted to have minority stake in the Raiders. And it like messed with his TV deal.Travis Kelce replied
To this when the now retired center asked his younger brother if he would turn down the chance to own a team for a TV deal, Travis Kelce agreed.
Because I want to broadcast when I'm done playing. I want to be right here and tell them about the game. I want to be the talking head that calls the games.Travis Kelce added
With this, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end confirmed his plans to be a broadcaster, just like his brother is going to do starting this season. This means it is highly likely that the 3-time Super Bowl champion will look for potential television deals once he is about to retire. After seeing what Tom Brady has managed to sign, television might be a very lucrative venture for Kelce.
His time perfecting his presentation on their podcast and the other acting gigs he is undertaking will help him. More importantly, the footballing world will be listening from possibly the greatest tight end to ever play the sport.
Travis Kelce has potential to become the greatest tight end ever
Many in the footballing world already consider Travis Kelce as the best tight end in NFL history. That is considering the 3 Super Bowls he has won and the over 11000 yards he has posted to date. However, his idol Tony Gonzalez is often considered the greatest tight end. But he did not win any Super Bowls.
But he does have over 15000 regular season yards as the record for a tight end. Travis Kelce might not be able to overcome that enormous number. But getting close and maybe adding in a Super Bowl or two, and no one will ever argue that there was a better tight end than Travis Kelce.
That tag will live on forever. More importantly, it will thrust him into the limelight as one of the best ever irrespective of position. This will probably transcend him into a limelight which could be far beyond what he has now, a big advantage when one is trying to become a broadcaster.
