The new season called for a new stache for Travis Kelce. The All-Pro Kansas City Chiefs tight end wowed fans at the training camp with a fresh new look.

On Sunday, July 21, the Chiefs held their first joint training session, in which both rookies and veterans participated. One by one, players showed up at the St. Joseph training ground in Missouri with close to 5,000 supporters cheering them on.

Kelce’s presence was in doubt because he was in Germany up until Saturday, spending time with his girlfriend Taylor Swift. Yet there was a slim chance of hope because it was the first day and he rarely tends to miss out on training.

The 34-year-old made his way to the training ground, but there was a visible change in his appearance. Fans noticed that Kelce no longer had his trademark bearded look. Instead, he opted for a thick mustache that complemented the neatly cut hair on his head.

This was no isolated incident, because Kelce’s fascination for grooming is a known fact. Unlike his brother Jason Kelce, who, according to him, has the dressing sense of a Neanderthal, Travis prefers styling himself with fashionable clothing.

His mustache look, however, could be part of his persona in his side gig. The three-time Super Bowl winner bagged an undisclosed role in Ryan Murphy’s TV series named ‘Grotesquerie‘, which is rumored to be part of the American Horror Story franchise.

Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce linked up at training camp

Soon after reaching the venue, Kelce got to work. Following a brief warmup, coaches paired him with Mahomes.

A video from KWCH12’s Tejay Cleland showed a brilliant link-up between the two star players. Following the snap, Mahomes launched the ball right through the middle, picking out Kelce, who out-muscled his blocker and ended his run near the red zone.

In the second half of the video, Mahomes found Kelce with a dart for a touchdown. The 9 times Pro Bowler then did TO by dunking the ball in between the goalposts.

After the day ended, Travis Kelce went up to some of his young fans, took the time to give them autographs, and posed for pictures.

Kelce’s stache wasn’t the only talking point from Sunday’s camp. Wide receiver Kadarius Toney practiced out of position for the majority of the session. He joined the ranks of Isiah Pacheco and Louis Rees-Zammit in the running back group, running fast routes.
