Travis Kelce recently disclosed how he convinced Taylor Swift for his surprise cameo during the London Eras Tour. The 34-year-old claimed it was initially his idea, but he required Swift’s production team’s permission to join her on stage.

During the July 3rd episode of his ‘New Heights’ podcast with brother and co-host Jason Kelce, he revealed speaking with Swift about letting him join for an act on stage.

I initially mentioned it to Tay [Taylor Swift]. I was like, ‘How funny would it be if I just rolled out on one of the bikes during the 1989 era'.
Travis Kelce said

Swift found the idea refreshing but was also concerned because this would be her beau’s first stage performance. Kelce has acted in front of the camera and played in packed stadiums but performing in the middle of 90,000 people is a completely different gig.

Kelce revealed Swift asked him,

Would you seriously be up for doing something like that?

Travis who was eager for a chance replied,

I was just like, ‘What? I would love to do that, are you kidding me? I've seen the show enough.' And sure enough, she found the perfect part of the show for me to come in.
Travis Kelce said

It was, in fact, the ‘perfect’ part for Kelce as Swifties and NFL fans absolutely loved his cameo on stage.

Travis Kelce revealed what was the one thing he could not do while on stage with Taylor Swift

When Swift greenlit Kelce’s cameo, he wanted to do something extra to make his skit even memorable. The 9-time Pro Bowler claimed he wanted to enter the stage on a bike.

However, it was turned down because there would be other performers on the stage. The bike could get in the way.

It was the safest option.
Travis Kelce said

There was one additional condition that the production team reminded him of constantly.

The golden rule was ‘Do not drop Taylor. Get her to the couch safe.
Kelce revealed

On the third and final day of the Wembley Eras Tour, Travis Kelce shocked the world by walking onto the stage with Swift’s co-performers. Wearing a black tuxedo and a top hat, Kelce assisted Swift switch between costumes before the song ‘I Can Perform with a Broken Heart.’

It was an absolute blast. It was such a fun, playful part of the show and it was like the perfect time for me to go up there, just be a ham and have some fun.
Travis Kelce said

Yet there was a moment of slight hesitation from Kelce mid act as he appeared to have forgotten his next move. Swift handled the situation like a pro, instructing him to apply makeup on her, and then the 14-time Grammy Winner blew a kiss at him.
