Looks like Travis Kelce has realized that success comes with a boatload of petty rumors and speculations and so, he is taking tips on handling it from his teammate and best friend, Patrick Mahomes. The star tight end didn’t hold back from giving a fitting response to the landlines about him slowing down.
After destroying his opponents with his ninth postseason game exceeding the 100-yard mark, the Kansas City Chiefs shut down all the criticism of the regular season about being “washed” or “slowing down.” Unfortunately, the questions still didn’t leave his side, but it seems that’s exactly what he was looking to answer to flaunt his nonchalant attitude towards criticism, only to demonstrate his champion mindset of proving by his performance.
“No,” the 35-year-old bluntly responded when asked whether he pays attention to the regular season narrative around him slowing down.

Contrary to the words of his critics, Kelce still has a lot of football left in him and as he continues making records on the field – it is not to build an (already) Hall of Fame-worthy legacy but primarily out of his love for the gridiron. And though retirement is something swirling around in his mind, he has decided to think about it after winning the Super Bowl to make history of the three-peat.
Travis Kelce shared his quarterback aspirations inspired by Josh Allen
With 10 Pro Bowl selections, four first-team All-Pro selections, three second-team All-Pro selections, the NFL record of most consecutive and highest overall seasons with 1,000 receiving yards by a tight end, most-receiving yards by a tight end (1,415) and three Super Bowl rings to his name while chasing the fourth with a 15-2 season, Kelce has proved himself to be considered the greatest tight end in the NFL, but, interestingly, he wanted to be a quarterback.
As he prepares for the most crucial game to create unprecedented history, he’s up against his inspiration aka Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills. The teams are set to face off at Kansas City’s home stadium, which Allen doesn’t have very good memories of.
