Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce’s PDA-filled date night with Taylor Swift at MLB playoffs turns into a social media wildfire over his loyalty. The duo was seen donning simple attire during the ALCS Game 1 between Cleveland Guardians and New York Yankees at the Bronx.

However, fans pointed out how he did not wear any Cleveland gear to show support in the team’s 2-5 loss against NY. They also pointed out how Travis Kelce was smiling at Taylor Swift when the pop icon admired Yankees Juan Soto’s HR.

The fan comments spiraled out of control as Kelce took to social media to talk about where his loyalty lies once and for all after Guardians Game 3 win over the Yankees in a 7-5 record. He questioned why there were so many doubters just because he did not wear Cleveland gear in one of the games.

I’ve been a Cleveland sports fan my entire life… Make it back to countless amount of games over the years both Guards and Cavs just to enjoy these memories with my friends and family, WIN OR LOSE!!… and I don’t wear Cleveland gear one time ? and all of a sudden I’m not a real fan?! An X account on social media further took a screenshot of a post from years ago where Kelce allegedly noted, “and my #Yankee’s lost…smh hats off to the #rangers though, but Im hurttin’ tonight!!!”Fans reacted strongly to the post questioning his loyalty as the MLB playoff rages on.

Patrick Mahomes’ 2-word response to Travis Kelce’s clapback 

Amid this mess between MLB fans and Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes penned on X, highlighting Kelce’s comment, “Go @Royals”. However, they weren’t the only ones to keep an eye on MLB playoffs.

Another sports star, Joel Embiid, a Philadelphia 76ers basketball player, reacted to the recent game between Cleveland Guardians and NY Yankees. He took to social media referring to Guardians baseman Jhonkensy Noel, “What a HR #BigChristmas”.

Thursday’s ALCS Game 3 took a dramatic turn between the pinstripes and Cleveland as the latter won the game by 7-5 record. Noel’s play and David Fry’s walk-off homer sealed the team’s victory against their rivals. When asked what Travis Kelce thought of his date night with Taylor Swift, he noted, 

It was mixed feelings because I was there trying to have some fun with Tay and everybody…It was fun. Even though the Guards couldn’t pull it off, it was still an exciting game.

He further said that it was “cool to see Yankee Stadium” up close in a tense playoff environment and “it didn’t disappoint, man.” The Yankees still hold a 2-1 series lead against the Guardians. Game 4 is scheduled on Friday at Progressive Field.
