After the 30-24 primetime loss at the hands of the San Francisco 49ers, the Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs lost his cool over a social media post. Diggs declined to speak to reporters choosing to confront one in the hallway of Levi’s Stadium.
The post referenced a play in the third quarter when 49ers tight end George Kittle made a 43-yard reception. While Diggs was covering another area on that play, he seemed unaware of Kittle’s route. Diggs unintentionally cleared the way for Kittle to reach the 1-yard line. This big gain helped set up a touchdown that put San Francisco in the lead.
The Cowboys are 3-4 to the season amid management turmoils. GM and owner Jerry Jones has come under fire for his reluctance to fire Mike McCarthy and failure to bring Derrick Henry. The Cowboys are facing heat from ex-players, including veteran Troy Aikman, calling the team soft. There’s a lot of media unwanted attention revolving around the Cowboys.
Diggs emerged angry after checking his phone in the locker room. He declined any media availability and confronted Mike Leslie of WFAA. Leslie had earlier posted “What is Trevon Diggs doing on this play?” on X calling out the aforementioned play by the cornerback.
Leslie pointed that he was just asking a question to which Diggs reacted a bit more rashly. Diggs didn’t appreciate that Leslie dissected the specific part from the whole play.

Trevon Diggs and the Dallas Cowboys enter panic mode
The Dallas Cowboys aren’t keeping up against strong opponents. The 49ers, despite struggling with their own injury challenges much like Dallas, still dominated on Sunday Night Football. The recent turmoil with players, here Trevon Diggs, engaging in direct attacks on reporters and media has fans panicking.
The Cowboys, fresh off their bye week, had a chance to make a statement, especially after their humiliating loss to the Detroit Lions just two weeks earlier. Through three quarters, the 49ers outgained the Cowboys 381-167 yards, carrying a 17-point lead into the final quarter.
Dallas fought back in the fourth, scoring two touchdowns. Dak Prescott and the Cowboys even had a final chance to drive for the game-winning touchdown but ended up going four-and-out, failing to gain a single yard.
