In a major ruling on Monday, ex-Cy Young Award winner Trevor Bauer was awarded $310K by a court ruling. A Los Angeles Superior Court judge ordered his accuser, Lindsey Hill, to pay him this amount for violating the settlement terms.
The Major League Baseball (MLB) suspended Bauer from the league in 2021 after charges of se*ual harassment were leveled at him. He was placed on administrative leave. Since then, he has not appeared in the major league.
In October 2023, news emerged that the former Los Angeles Dodgers star had settled his dispute with his accuser, Lindsey Hill. The pitcher kept on denying the allegations that were thrown at him.
After the case was settled, Hill on social media claimed that Bauer “handed back an insurance sum to me that was meant for him in order for me to drop my countersuit.” The 2020 National League Cy Young Award winner would sue her again in October and expressed that she had violated the terms of their settlement agreement.
As Hill never responded to this suit by Bauer, the court on Monday awarded the win to the pitcher through default. The court thus ordered her to pay a sum of around $310,000 for the damages he suffered.
Trevor Bauer has won his lawsuit against Lindsey Hill for falsely claiming that Bauer paid her any monetary amount to settle their original lawsuit, and she is ordered to pay him $309,000 in damages.

Now, the only money ever exchanged between the two is Hill paying Bauer… https://t.co/cqM5sl4Jds
Trevor Bauer recently took a shot at MLB
Trevor Bauer has taken several shots at the MLB since he was thrown out of the league after allegations of se*ual harassment were raised against him. Recently, he took another dig at the league while speaking on the late Pete Rose.

Rose, the former Cincinnati Reds star, was made ineligible for the MLB Hall of Fame due to his gambling scandal. Despite having the most hits in the MLB, Rose never made it to Cooperstown. He would pass away in 2024 at the age of 83.
A month ago, the league made a huge announcement. As per the new rulings, deceased players like Rose will now be eligible for the Baseball Hall of Fame. Bauer would later take a shot at the league for this.
So, since Pete is welcome back now, does that go for everyone who has been blackballed? Or do you actually have to be guilty of something to qualify for that?

Bauer was initially handed a 324-game suspension by the league. It was later reduced to 194 games on appeal. In January 2023, the Dodgers would release him from their team instead of reactivating him on the roster.
Trevor Bauer is currently having a mixed season in Japan
After no MLB team made a move for him, Trevor Bauer would once again return to Japan. He would sign a one-year deal with Yokohama DeNA BayStars. So far, he is having a mixed season with them.

The 34-year-old has started 10 games this season for the Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) side. In this he has a 3-3 record while having an ERA of 3.30. He has managed to pick up just 66 strikeouts and has conceded 8 home runs and 62 hits.

In his first stint with the team, he started 19 games and had a decent 10-4 record. His ERA of 2.76 was a bit better than the one he is having at the moment. His team, though, is 2nd in the Central Division with a 27-21-3 record.
