CM Punk finally got the better of his arch-nemesis, Drew McIntyre, when he defeated him in a strap match at Bash in Berlin. However, after what The Scottish Warrior did on the September 2nd episode of Raw, the WWE Universe knew the rivalry was far from over. This was further confirmed by an announcement made by Raw General Manager Adam Pearce.
On the latest episode of Raw, Pearce announced that Drew McIntyre would face the Best in the World in a Hell in a Cell match at Bad Blood. Although he commented that the Raw GM had essentially signed CM Punk‘s death warrant, a slight concern was visible on his face. After the match was made official, Triple H took to Instagram and stated that the only way to settle the rivalry was inside the demonic structure.
The Sinister Scotsman began the segment by calling out his best friend and Raw commentator, Wade Barrett, for stopping him from attacking Punk. He warned Barrett not to do that again, or he would face consequences. The tense face-off between Barrett and McIntyre was interrupted by Pearce, who revealed that, after last week’s attack, Punk was not done with him.

The last Hell in a Cell match took place at WrestleMania 39, where Edge defeated ‘The Demon’ Finn Balor. For both superstars, this match is crucial, as the winner will settle the score in this rivalry. Punk and McIntyre will look forward to destroying each other inside the unforgiving structure, where anything goes.
Drew McIntyre congratulated former WWE star Jinder Mahal on his journey after WWE release
Jinder Mahal began his new journey after being released by WWE in April this year. In just a few months outside the Stamford-based company, Raj Dhesi has won multiple championships. The Modern Day Maharaja is one-half of the reigning AAA World Tag Team Champion and the BLP Heavyweight Champion. Recently, his close friend and former teammate, Drew McIntyre, discussed Mahal’s journey after WWE.
While speaking with Chris Van Vliet on the Insight podcast, the 40-year-old star expressed his happiness for Mahal. McIntyre stated that when he saw his friend winning multiple titles, he looked like a major superstar. The former WWE Champion concluded his statement by saying he was pleased with Mahal’s success.
I am so happy for Jinder, and I knew he'd hit the ground running and kill it. He's already picked up multiple championships, and when you see him in a clip, it's like that's the star right there. Look at that guy, look how much he stands out and so I'm so happy for his success.Drew McIntyre on Jinder Mahal via the Insight podcast
Mahal, along with Veer Mahan and Sanga, was among the superstars WWE released earlier this year. Following their departure, Sanga even took to X to express his disappointment with WWE for not utilizing them despite their popularity in India. Nevertheless, only time will tell whether the 40-year-old star will draw inspiration from McIntyre and climb his way back to WWE.
