WrestleMania has never been hosted outside of North America, let alone the United Kingdom. Recently, top stars like John Cena and Cody Rhodes said that WrestleMania needed to be there. Not only them, but London Mayor Sadiq Khan also wanted WWE to bring the Show of Shows to Britain.

Ahead of the London Mayoral Election on May 2, the current Mayor, Sadiq Khan, took to X for a special request. He stated that if he won the election again next week, he would try to bring not only WrestleMania but the Superbowl, NBA, and Olympics in 2040 too. Now, Paul ‘Triple H‘ Levesque sent him an interesting response regarding hosting the biggest event in London.

WWE has recently hosted many premium live events outside the USA, like Clash at the Castle in Wales and Elimination Chamber in Australia. The President of WWE, Nick Khan, stated that WrestleMania was not going anywhere outside the USA or Canada for now. However, he also kept the option available if the London Mayor might be willing to pay the right price.

Talking about upcoming international events, France will host Backlash PLE on May 4. Furthermore, Clash at the Castle will be held in Drew McIntyre‘s country, Scotland, in June. Not only that, Germany will host the first-ever PLE Bash in Berlin after two months. Looking at the roadmap of future international events, it won’t be surprising if WWE’s biggest event will be outside the USA one day.

The 14-time world champion took to X and congratulated both superstars for the hard-hitting match. He stated that Williams’ victory was well deserved and felt like his era was looking bright. The stakes were higher going into this match, as a loss would’ve seen the 29-year-old out of WWE.

Williams ended The Mad Dragon’s 206-day title reign in his second attempt after losing to him at Vengence Day. The match went down the wire, but the 29-year-old star won by hitting Dragunov with the Trick Shot. It will be interesting to see how his title reign unfolds.
