On Sunday, the Philadelphia Eagles gave their fans every reason to smile as they stifled the Green Bay Packers by 22-10 in the Wild Card Weekend opener. After winning, Eagle’s cornerback Quinyon Mitchell tried hitting a pedigree, the WWE finisher of Triple H, on his teammate, Cooper DeJean. However, the execution was horrible.

Reacting to it, the WWE CCO took to X. The real-life Paul Levesque reiterated the company’s often-ignored tagline of “don’t try this at home.” The Game also congratulated The Iggles on their emphatic triumph. The crossovers between WWE and the NFL go way back in time. And the aforementioned instance just adds to it.

A number of WWE Superstars have made their presence felt in the NFL games throughout 2024 and vice-versa. One of the most hilarious yet notable moments that came off it was when Seth Rollins got dumped on the field of Lucas Oil Stadium by former Colts wide receiver, T.Y. Hilton.

Last month, Bayley was in attendance to lend her support to the San Francisco 49ers. Before the match got underway, she blew off the foghorn. The Role Model even got shunned by her mother as the latter preferred spending time with the family of George Kittle. Likewise, on an episode of Raw in April 2024, Kansas City Chief’s QB Patrick Mahomes paid a visit.

He was seen entering the arena with Logan Paul, IShowSpeed, and The Judgment Day. During the show, he even let Paul borrow his lustrous Super Bowl rings as The Maverick wanted to deck Jey Uso in the skull. However, The Maverick inadvertently took JD McDonagh out. Its aftermath left an impression on JD’s forehead.

Since they’re so big in number, the 14-time World Champion said his creative team will factor those into storylines that’d make sense. It’s quite possible that the fans will see some NFL stars in there. Last year, former Eagles football center Jason Kelce and current offensive tackle Lane Johnson helped Rey Mysterio and Andrade win their tag team match.
