Triple H dismisses the possibility of a dream NXT clash

Triple H
Couple of weeks ago, on an episode of WWE NXT, Shawn Michaels went face to face with Adam Cole. As soon as the segment aired, the WWE Universe began buzzing with the idea of a possible clash between the two.
But Triple H has recently clarified that the potential dream match is not taking place. Triple H recently appeared on the Pardon My Take podcast to discuss the action packed Wrestlemania week. During the podcast the staredown between Michaels and Cole were brought up. But Hunter was quick to shoot down the idea of a dream match.
“When [Shawn] was leaving, he ran into Adam Cole backstage, and they had a moment, and Shawn walked off. The internet blew up with people saying, ‘Oh my God, what if? What a tease. It’s the ultimate match.’ What they don’t know is three minutes prior to that, when Shawn’s music hit and he was walking out to the stage, his left knee gave out, and he started dancing because he almost fell off the stage. His left knee is so bad that it buckled on him while he was walking down the ramp. That match isn’t going to happen.”
Triple H is clear that the match won’t happen

The WWE NXT boss gave the reason that Shawn Michaels is not fit. No matter exciting the match is, the health needs to be the first priority. The ailing knee might be an indication that we wont be seeing HBK in a potential future match.
Adam Cole will next be seen in action against Kyle O’Reilly. They will be participating in an unsanctioned match during the Night Two of WWE NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver.
