WWE has undergone a major transformation under the leadership of Triple H. Fans first got a taste of his vision during the Black & Gold era of NXT between 2014 and 2019, when Hunter brought in world-class talent like Finn Balor, Shinsuke Nakamura, Samoa Joe, and Kevin Owens

At the time, WWE’s independent circuit recruits were seen as unconventional, something Vince McMahon never fully embraced. Fast forward to 2025, and Triple H has applied that same philosophy to the main roster. In the midst of counter-programming battles with AEW, the Stamford-based company has doubled down on recruiting top talent from around the globe.

Stars such as Stephanie Vaquer, Ethan Page, and even Cody Rhodes are proof of this shift, with performers either choosing WWE as their new home or returning to a revitalized product filled with bigger opportunities.

The success of WrestlePalooza and the launch of WWE’s new partnership with ESPN only add fuel to the fire. For the real-life Paul Levesque, this seems to be just the beginning, as he continues to bring fresh faces into the fold while also welcoming back familiar ones to help shape the future of the company.

During the WrestlePalooza pre-show, Triple H opened up about the recent wave of talent eyeing the promotion. The WWE CCO revealed that interest is higher than ever, with wrestlers reaching out to him on a daily basis.

There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t get a text or a voicemail from somebody saying either, ‘I want to come home,’ Or ‘I’ve never been there, is there an opportunity for me there? I’m overseas right now. I have this time left on my deal. Hey, I would love to explore WWE and come into the Performance Center. NXT, whatever that is.

Although he didn’t drop any names, one star who has recently been rumored is former AEW Champion Chris Jericho. The veteran hasn’t been seen on AEW television since April, and reports suggest his current contract is ending in late 2025.

With WWE’s booming popularity, several familiar faces have already found their way back to the company. That includes current stars like Aleister Black and Rusev, who made their returns after runs elsewhere, as well as legends such as CM Punk and AJ Lee, who came back after years away from the ring.

While the track record hasn’t been flawless, with names like Toni Storm, Andrade, Bryan Danielson, and Karrion Kross leaving the company in recent years, the influx of fresh talent and partnerships with promotions like AAA show that WWE’s pipeline of new stars is stronger than ever.

Triple H reveals Stephanie McMahon’s Hall of Fame 2026 induction announcement was a secret

The recently concluded Wrestlepalooza PLE was a massive success, delivering on Triple H’s promise of surprises. Fans saw shocking moments like John Cena being squashed by Brock Lesnar in a similar manner to their infamous SummerSlam 2014 clash, but the biggest surprise of the night came in the form of a historic announcement.

Stephanie McMahon was revealed as the first inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2026. The announcement came in dramatic fashion when The Undertaker made his return, riding his motorcycle into the arena.

Instead of delivering a promo or stepping into the ring, he stunned the crowd by sitting next to McMahon at ringside and personally revealing the news. The emotional announcement caught her completely off guard.

On the Wrestlepalooza post-show, Triple H admitted that Stephanie had no idea the honor was coming. He even joked that he was “in trouble” with her afterward. According to him, with her birthday only days away, McMahon thought The Undertaker was about to embarrass her by singing Happy Birthday. Hunter then praised her legendary WWE career.

But, the truth is, she is one of the most iconic performers in an era, the Attitude Era, and moving forward from there, she was a powerful character for a lot of young women around the world; of a young, powerful executive and an incredible performer.

He made it clear that his admiration for Stephanie goes well beyond their marriage. Highlighting her legacy, Triple H pointed to her memorable work with The Rock and Kurt Angle, her leadership during the Invasion storyline, her time as SmackDown General Manager, and later her villainous role in The Authority.

Most importantly, she was instrumental in launching the Women’s Revolution, giving female superstars equal opportunities and a spotlight alongside their male counterparts. With such a career, Triple H stressed, her Hall of Fame induction is more than deserved.
