The game of American football has seen some bizarre events including the infamous Antonio Brown’s mid-game meltdown that caused great news. To name a few, the Super Bowl in 2004 included the wardrobe malfunction and the streaker incident. However, Tristan Wirfs has a personal favorite weird moment.
During his appearance on The Pivot podcast, Tristan Wirfs was asked to rank the “crazier moment” between Tom Brady’s rare public drunkenness at the Super Bowl LV parade and Antonio Brown’s infamous mid-game exit. Surprisingly, the Buccaneers star chose the former, citing how shocking it was to see Brady that intoxicated in public.
Recalling the incident, Tristan Wirfs commented that seeing Tom Brady being drunk was a great memory. Reflecting on the parade, Wirfs also recalled how the entire Bucs roster had liquor coursing through their veins as they soaked in their Super Bowl victory.
But seeing Tom Brady torch the parade was incredible…We drank our boat out of beer there…The weather was perfect, and it was a hot day in February. We were like, Yeah, this is great. We had probably 20 boats. Tom had his boat, B***ard. It was typical of him. But we had like an O-line boat like there was a D-line boat…every position group had their own boat, and it was so funny.
Tristan Wirfs recalled
All world @Buccaneers’ tackle Tristan Wirfs never saw @AB84 leave MetLife shirtless, but he did see @TomBrady “torched” at the Super Bowl parade. I mean, the “Bastard” did have his own boat full of booze. 😂😂😂😂

From casually tossing the Lombardi Trophy between boats to celebrating with champagne showers, fans got a rare look at the GOAT’s wilder side that day. After the public celebrations wrapped up, the entire Buccaneers roster took the party to the water.
They spread out across nearly 20 boats based on their on-field positions. The Super Bowl festivities continued at sea, with every player reveling in the moment and celebrating their victory to the fullest.

Tom Brady was just having fun with the lack of sobriety
During the wild Super Bowl boat parade in 2021, Tom Brady made a bold decision, throwing the Lombardi Trophy across open water from his $2 million boat to tight end Cameron Brate, who was on a separate vessel. Weeks later, the seven-time Super Bowl champion reflected on the chaotic celebration in a James Corden episode.

Brady admitted that he was just having fun in the unpleasant moments and didn’t think about the consequences of the action.
First of all, I was not thinking at that moment. There was not a thought. It was, ‘This seems like really fun to do.’ When you get your hands on one of those trophies, there are a lot of really sharp edges on the bottom where the stand is. Obviously, the ball is what it is. And then I found out later that had that been an incomplete pass, that would have went down like 80 feet.
Tom Brady stated
The 2024 Philadelphia Eagles parade was one for the ages, but to match the Buccaneers’ crazy championship gala will be near impossible.
