“True NFL legend and pioneer” Tom Brady post a heartfelt message on Bruce Arian’s retirement, Bruce responds

Bruce thinks Brady deserves MVP.

If this postseason wasn’t crazy, it became crazier as Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians announced his sudden retirement. Tom Brady, who retired in February this year, came back just after 40 odd days and now there’s a major shift of power in Tampa Bay, which also lead fans to speculate if he’s behind all this.

Earlier this month, there were multiple reports of a rift between Tom Brady and head coach Bruce. Now, this sudden move surely tells us the truth that Tom Brady gets what he wants and right now he’s eyeing one more ring. Brady, who likes things more systematically probably didn’t like the way ex ‘old school’ head coach handled things. “I have spent most of the last 50 years of my life on the sidelines as a football coach in one form or another,” Arians said in his statement released by the team.

Right after Bruce’s retirement, Brady took to Instagram and posted a heartfelt post. “Thank you, BA for all that you have done for me and our team. You are an incredible man and coach, and it was a privilege to play for you. You are a true NFL legend and pioneer for all the work you have done to make the league more diverse and inclusive,” Brady wrote on his Instagram post.

Buccaneers won Suber Bowl in 2021 under Bruce after Tom Brady moved to the franchise and had a superb run in 2022 before losing to the eventual champion LA Rams. The Bucs quarterback thanked the head coach for everything he had done in the past two years.

Smart, tough, and loyal are a few of the words to describe your style. I will always remember the conversations we had when you recruited me two years ago and all of the things we discussed came true ?.  We all benefited from your leadership and guidance and I’m so proud of everything we accomplished. You were a huge part of the decision to join the Bucs and I’m forever grateful,” Brady added.

“I’m so happy you will spend the much-deserved time with your loving and supportive family that has given so much to our communities. Congratulations on an amazing coaching career but more importantly, how you positively impacted me and everyone else in the game of football,” he concluded. Bruce responded, “Thanks Brotha”.

After retirement Bruce is moving to the front office as our Senior Football Consultant. Buccaneers have handed the head coaching job to defensive coordinator Todd Bowels. He is also getting a new five-year, head-coaching contract.
