The Miami Dolphins breathe a sigh of relief as quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has been cleared to make a return after suffering his third concussion since entering the NFL. While this is great news for the team and its fans, there are well wishers of the quarterback that remain concerned with him making a return.
Tua Tagovailoa‘s head coach at University of Alabama, Nick Saban is one of the concerned people. Saban has voiced his concern regarding Tagovailoa’s health since he was put in concussion protocol after taking a hit in the Week 2 game against the Buffalo Bills. On his recent appearance on the Pat McAfee Show, Saban shared his thoughts on Tua making a comeback.
Nick Saban is happy to see his former quarterback get back on the field. He understands that while Tagovailoa has been cleared to play medically, his personal decision to continue to compete plays a big part in his decision to return.

Nick Saban commended Tua Tagovailoa’s competitive spirit
He went on to add that the quarterback must pick wisely what he intends to do. He reached out to Tua Tagovailoa shortly after he suffered the concussion in Week 2.
There has been an outcry from fans who have been asking Tua Tagovailoa to reconsider making a return to the NFL. The quarterback has had to reconsider making a return to the league for the second time in his career. There is a lot of pressure on him to perform and it is understandable as to why he would be reluctant to walk away right after signing a long-term contract extension with the Dolphins.
He knows better than anyone what is at stake and he’s made his decision. The hope is for him to make a successful return to the NFL and hopefully, not find himself in a similar situation again. The quarterback has made the decision to not wear a guardian cap either and stick to the regular helmet. For the Miami Dolphins, this week is what they have been waiting for weeks. The team will finally get its offense back and hopefully, begin to win games once again.
