Usually, those who stay in Miami do not see temperatures below 60 degrees, which is an enjoyable weather for normal folk. But for the Tua Tagovailoa led Miami Dolphins, it usually means they do not always play in that weather. Such as today when they faced the Green Bay Packers in 25 and less degrees.
The Dolphins or any warm weather team usually struggle in cold environments. Tagovailoa in particular has had zero wins so far in his several battles wearing warmers underneath. Today, on Thanksgiving, it was expected to get worse when those low temperatures along with wind could see them struggle.
But Tagovailoa did not, as he overcame his first half problems to throw for 365 yards and two touchdowns. But that was not enough as the Green Bay Packers kept their lead and their focus to earn the Thanksgiving spread in the center of the field.
Tua Tagovailoa did not have his superstar receivers in top form, instead had to rely on TE Jonnu Smith to do much of the damage. Thankfully, his 113 yards, and RB De’Von Achane‘s touchdowns, helped them at least make a football game out of their trip.

The most telling aspect about playing in the cold was that the Miami Dolphins players had layers of protective clothing on them. All during warmups, during the game, as well as on the sidelines, it was evident that the players struggled.
On one hand, when the defense struggled to stop the Packers, the offense could not convert all those yards from the Hawaiian native. The problem is that this game was a good opportunity for the Dolphins to continue their three-game winning streak. Now they have to play harder to have any chance of reaching the playoffs.
Fans tear into Miami Dolphins despite Tua Tagovailoa’s performance
The problem fans have is that the Miami Dolphins knew all along they were going to play in cold weather. Knowing they had a game against the Green Bay Packers, they could have had some cold weather practices. With their current record, fans do not see them being able to win playoff games against cold weather teams.
This deficit is not what fans expect from a professional franchise. They were not happy to stay up after stuffing their stomach with Thanksgiving delectables only to see this one-sided affair. Check out some of their comments on social media.

Can somebody who knows more football than me explain why Tyreek Hill has been subpar this season?

Their final two games will be in the winter and in cold states. If they struggled in this game, there is a possibility they will struggle in those. With playoff intentions still their goal, the Dolphins do have a tough task ahead.
