After his short stature, Tua Tagovailoa has issued yet another bizarre out-of-the-blue excuse for the costly mistakes in their Week 9 TNF loss to the resurgent Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens, led by Lamar Jackson, silenced the Fins with a statement 28-6 win at their home field in Hard Rock Stadium.
Tua Tagovailoa, fresh off a stellar win over the Atlanta Falcons in the week before, was expected to level the playing field against the Ravens. However, he ended up limited to just 261 yards and a 62.5 completion percentage.
The Dolphins had no touchdowns in the game, while Tagovailoa threw an interception. The quarterback had the third-worst quarterback rating at 22.7 (his worst was a 3.2 against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 1).
Tagovailoa had earlier attributed his failure in throwing the ball accurately to his short stature. After the disastrous performance against the Ravens, his issue was with the traveling Ravens fans. Sure, the Ravens’ fans took over the Hard Rock Stadium, and anyone who watched the game live would state that there was a purple haze in the stands.
In his post-game conference, Tagovailoa revisited this particular play where he made the statement that has since gone viral.
With the Ravens fans, it maybe got a little muffled with my cadence and the crowd noise. We talked about it on the sideline after and got that corrected.

The quarterback attributed one of their earlier mistakes in the game to the beaming noise from the Ravens’ fans. A little context, in the first quarter, the Dolphins faced a fourth-and-1 at the Ravens’ 12-yard line and appeared ready to go for it. However, a false start by offensive lineman Larry Borom pushed them back five yards. The ensuing 35-yard field goal attempt was missed, leaving Miami scoreless on a drive that had been promising to reach the end zone.

The Miami management had decided to fire general manager Chris Grier in the wake of the latest loss. However, trading away Grier won’t solve their problems.

The Miami Dolphins fans are agitated. The Dolphins missed the playoffs last year, and the last win in the postseason was ages ago. This year, their chances of making the playoffs were barely there before the game against the Ravens. After Week 9, the Dolphins are 2-7 with eight games to go. It’s getting chilly, and snow and cold are no friends of Tua Tagovailoa.

“This morning, I made the decision along with general manager Chris Grier to mutually part ways. I have incredible respect for Chris and his family, and I want to thank him for his many…
The team looks divided, and the locker room is off. The Dolphins haven’t given enough for the fans to buy the pricey tickets and catch the games. This made it easy for the visiting fans to get these easily available tickets and make their players feel at home in a road game.
The match on Thursday at the Hard Rock Stadium was no different. The Dolphins fans exited the premises and left the stands by the third quarter, signifying a declining belief in the ability of the Fins to stage a comeback in the last moments of the game. Mike Florio reported that the boos from the home crowd were frequent. He added that the ones who stayed took out paper bags to cover their faces. If it wasn’t paper bags, it was popcorn buckets.
The status quo is becoming a hard sell at Hard Rock Stadium. The boo birds were flapping their wings repeatedly on Thursday night. Paper bags were on the heads of plenty of fans. One guy poked two holes in a popcorn bucket.

Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel admitted that he shares the fans’ frustrations.
