The political heat is reaching the NFL world, especially the Florida-based Miami Dolphins team. Devon Mostert, who defended Governor Ron DeSantis in the wake of Hurricane Milton, has received backlash for her comments on Kamala Harris.
Devon Mostert – on her socials lashed out against the Democratic Presidential candidate Harris, calling her garbage and textbook trash. The comments came after Harris got into a tiff with the Floridan governor, and had alleged that DeSantis ignored her calls amid the Hurricane Milton.
Hurricane Milton is the second strongest tropical cyclone over the Gulf of Mexico since Hurricane Rita in 2005. The hurricane has claimed approximately 26 lives and more than 30 billion USD in damages. The sporting world including NFL has been affected by the violent nature of the hurricane.
Additionally, Hurricane Helene has been a benchmark for judging the current government before the elections in November. Earlier, Kansas City Chiefs GM’s wife ripped into FEMA for the alleged mishandling of the disaster relief funds.
The Dolphins WAG is now facing online criticism for her opinions on Harris. She has been ridiculed through the socials with vicious name-calling. Fox News reported that Mostert expressed that she could overlook the comments targeted at her, but the media has crossed a line by targeting her kids. It was also reported that people slid into her DMs and started racist comments and messages.
In light of the new developments, The other wives and girlfriends of NFL players have come to Mostert’s support. One of them was Annah Gore, wife of Tua Tagovailoa, who shares similar opinions as Mostert. She posted an Instagram story cheering on Mostert and her stance. She expressed support and pride for her fellow WAG and cheered her to stay true to herself.

Despite the online hate and targeting, Mostert has defended what she said. In the interview with Fox News, she claimed that she doesn’t agree with what Harris has been saying about the governor.
