The Miami Dolphins haven’t had a Hall of Fame-level quarterback since Dan Marino retired. That may change soon enough, as Tom Brady trends on social media as their new quarterback.

For the uninitiated, Brady, similar to Marino, retired from football back in 2023, but there’s always the chance for the 7x Super Bowl winner to come back for a shot at the 8th. The Dolphins possess the sufficient attack power required to make sure Brady can throw ample passing yards and touchdowns.

Then what about the Dolphins current quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa? Well, the fifth highest-paid player in the NFL, according to Sporting News, suffered a likely concussion during the Dolphins Thursday night clash against AFC rivals the Buffalo Bills.

Thursday’s hit was Tagovailoa’s 3rd documented concussion moment in the league in his fledgling 5-year career. Now the Dolphins have only one healthy quarterback on the first-team roster—-2022 seventh-round pick Skylar Thompson, who replaced the 26-year-old in the Bills game. This is where Tom Brady comes in.

Depending on Tua’s condition, Dolphins owner Stephen Ross and general manager Chris Grier need to recalibrate their strategy; otherwise, their dream of a deep post-season run will remain on the conference room board. Fans believe Ross and Grier have the perfect opportunity to dial Brady and persuade him to suit up in the Dolphins’ colors.

As fun and exciting as it sounds, the Dolphins will face difficulties if they approach the 5x Super Bowl MVP. The first and most obvious obstacle is Brady’s FOX color analyst job, which got off to a shaky start in the Cowboys-Browns game. Last year, he signed a mammoth 10-year $350 million deal with the network, replacing Greg Olsen.

Secondly, Brady’s pending ownership deal with the Las Vegas Raiders is on the brink of completion. He only requires the green signal from the other franchise owners. If the deal gets legitimacy, then the Dolphins would not be allowed to employ Brady as their quarterback because it’s a conflict of interest.

The Dolphins’ first priority should be to see if Tua did not sustain massive or permanent damage because he banged his head hard against Hamlin’s helmet.
