Kevin Durant was exceptional in the pre-season game against Boston Celtics, scoring 25 points. After crushing the Celtics in first 3 quarter, it was obvious what the outcome would be, just the margin that mattered. Kevin Durant’s arrival in the 2020-21 season for the Brooklyn Nets is hyped as much as anything else in this season, from pairing up with Kyrie Irving to dawning the court in the Black jersey. Durant would be doing it all for the first time after being traded into the Nets. 

The Brooklyn Nets outscored the Boston Celtics in the 1st quarter itself 35-23. Durant led with 25 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists and a steal. For the matter of fact, what was even more impressive, was Durant had 3 blocks against his name in this particular match-up. That being the case, Durant has announced his return to the grandest stage in the best fashion. 

Kevin Durant leads from the front against Boston Celtics 

In his second pre-season outings, Durant showed that he is holding nothing back this season within 27 minutes. Showing that he can easily score whenever he wants to, and it is up to him how he wants to play this year. Upon seeing his performance, basketball twitter just blew up. 

It remains to be seen how Durant approaches the following season. There are heavy expectations for both him and the Brooklyn Nets. many analysts believe that if Durant is able to show he is fully recovered, that the Nets are going to be title contenders this season. However, an Achilles injury is one of the toughest to recover from, and very few are able to do so completely.
