During a livestream, Tyler Herro of the Miami Heat surprised viewers and hosts Adin Ross and N3on with his unusual take on NBA history. The Heat stat man, known for his expressive style of play on the court, ventured into a new environment by questioning the reality of historical events before 1950. This surely did not go down well with the NBA fans.
The 25-year-old’s curiosity piqued during a normal dialogue on his friend, Adin Ross’ live stream. This occurred when a fan asked Herro and Co. in the ‘Livestream chat’ whether NBA great Wilt Chamberlain, in today’s world, is still regarded as the league’s top five contenders if he were to be in his prime.
Surprisingly, Herro’s reply had nothing to do with the fan’s question; instead, it focused on events related to the NBA before 1950, rather than Chamberlain’s skill.
I don’t believe in history, I’m dead a**… Hell no … I don’t believe in anything that happened before 1950.

Herro’s comments on the live stream did bring out a series of surprises and intrigue, and understandably so, from the fans. Mostly because it is unusual for a professional athlete to call into question well-documented historical events, especially concerning the NBA.
Fans left stunned with Tyler Herro dismissing NBA events before 1950
At first, it looked as if the Heat star man, Tyler Herro, was joking around with Adin Ross and N3on on Ross’ live stream. But it was the other way round. Herro dismissed the NBA events that took place before 1950 with a straight face. This sent shockwaves in and around the NBA world, as they did not waste any time in letting out their opinions.

Many NBA fans took to various social media platforms to put forward their views on this matter. Some even slandered Ross and N3on for not educating Herro regarding his remarks about events in the NBA before 1950. One fan wrote on X, “Collective IQ in that room is lower than his jersey number.” Check out some of the reactions below:

Herro, who claimed the NBA Three-Point Contest in 2025 and was named to his first All-Star squad, has emerged as a key element of the Heat’s rebuilding effort alongside Bam Adebayo. The Heat star’s decision to stay and bolster the team while the Heat try to rebuild signals an exciting time for Miami, one in which the growing star will lead with determination and aggression.
