Tyler Herro pithily explains Andrew Wiggins inheriting Jimmy Butler’s #22 Miami Heat jersey
Heat star man Tyler Herro had a blunt response regarding his new teammate Andrew Wiggings wearing Jimmy Butler's #22 jersey.

Tyler Herro and Jimmy Butler
The Miami Heat found themselves around one of the most complicated and chaotic trade deals involving their star man Jimmy Butler. However, they eventually concluded to give away their star. Notably, Jimmy Butler and Andrew Wiggins switched sides during the team’s five-team deal with the Golden State Warriors, Utah Jazz, Detroit Pistons, and Toronto Raptors. Additionally, with Butler gone, Tyler Herro now is the main man for the Heat.
However, with Butler gone, Wiggins was given his #22 jersey. Wiggins has already appeared in two Heat regular season games. This is while donning Jimmy Butler’s No. 22 jersey. In light of Butler’s status as an organization legend, Herro was questioned about seeing someone else don the number. Herro had a straightforward response.
Jimmy is definitely a Heat legend, But I feel like with how things, you know, transpired over the last couple of months, I think 22 can be worn again.

While some thought it was insulting to the most important Heat player of the decade, others thought it was justified. That was because of the falling out. Although it appears to be just the number on the jersey, it is also seen as a show of respect in professional sports. This explains why numerous NBA legends have had their numbers retired for league-wide or specific organizations.
Nevertheless, Wiggins has settled in quickly to life in Miami. Also, with Wiggings having the support of Herro and his new teammates, there’s nothing for him to be worried about. Aside from this, the Heat received a first-round pick, Kyle Anderson, and Davion Mitchell in addition to Wiggins. The trade deal satisfied all the NBA sides that were involved in it.
Tyler Herro had a straightforward response regarding his sides ‘championship’ hopes
Now with Jimmy Butler gone from the Miami Heat, questions arise regarding the franchise’s championship hopes this season. Notably, the two persisting stars who will guide the Heat’s younger players are Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo. They are both a few years younger than thirty and are starting their prime years. However, Herro did not mince his words when questioned about his side’s title hopes.
I don’t think people realize how hard it is to win a championship. Everything has to fall in line. But I think right now, we started the season with Jimmy saying we’re gonna try to win a championship. I think, obviously, if we’re calling a spade a spade, we’re not contenders right now.

This season, the Heat are 12-16 minus Butler. The good news is that the acquisitions they made during the trade deadline haven’t affected their losing record. Davion Mitchell and Andrew Wiggins have already demonstrated how much they strengthen the defense. However, much more is needed in the offense if they were to go on a title run, starting now!
