The charter wars took a turn for the worst when it was announced that 23XI Racing and Front Row Motorsports, two team that has refused to sign the 2025-2031 charter deals have sued NASCAR. They alleged that the premier stock car racing series owners are using monopolistic practices to refuse teams the financial compensation and opportunity they deserve.

The legal action has received mixed reaction from the community with some backing the 23XI-FRM collation while others are calling Michael Jordan and Co out. This has also created a situation in which both teams’ drivers are now racing with a potential target on their back as they might get targeted by NASCAR over incidents during the race week.

23XI Racing driver Tyler Reddick has addressed these claims and has asserted that he isn’t concerned about. He is not uncomfortable with the situation as the team had kept them in the loop about the lawsuit and were giving them constant update about the situation. This alleviated any potential concerned they have had so far.

I mean they let us know what’s going on and yeah, basically along the same lines as what you guys have heard from Curtis and the lawyers. So, yeah, all good here…No, I haven’t felt uncomfortable yet. I’ll let you know if that changes.

Tyler Reddick told Steven Taranto of CBS.

Being an impressive dirt-racer in his junior years, Tyler Reddick and Kyle Larson has an edge over other driver with how racing works the Next-Gen cars. With very limited time for practice and qualifying now, some drivers found it hard to get familiarize with the track. But since they have been in the same situation during dirt racing days, Reddick and Larson finds it easy to cope with.

For us, when we come from dirt racing, we’re used to making aggressive moves, dealing with aggressive race tracks, if you will, at times too, and just having to go out there and in the first lap or two find it. You get three or four laps in warm-up or practice and you gotta go run a lap in qualifying. Just our nature, our upbringing, really kind of primed us for how this car races today.

The No:45 Toyota driver is using advantage really well and him winning the 2024 regular season championship was an example it. He now has to use it more, as he is in elimination bubble for the R-12 and has to produce impressive runs at Talladega and Roval to make it into the next-round, to continue the championship chase.
