Tyreek Hill needs to make up his mind and stick to it. On Sunday Hill posted a series of tweets hinting that he wants the Miami Dolphins to trade him to another team where he can challenge for more Super Bowl rings.

When fans began to piece together Hill’s ultimate goal of sharing the tweets, the All-Pro receiver called the chatter out. He labeled the trade rumors misleading because he’s not leaving Miami soon.

It mattered little because once the news of Hill’s trade was out on the market, speculations popped like wild mushrooms. The way most linked Hill with the Dallas Cowboys, it felt as if he was definitely leaving the Dolphins.

To clear the misunderstanding, Hill shared a video with the tweet pasted behind him like a green screen. The striking part of the video was the cowboy hat on his head but with a twist. Instead of the usual star, a heart-shaped pendant draped on the front.

In the short clip, Tyreek Hill addressed the ongoing trade rumors.

I just gotta say this – I love being a [Miami] Dolphin, with all my life man… But if you say something on Twitter, I have no choice but to troll.

Tyreek Hill said

To dissect Hill’s words, he wasn’t cool with Jason Fitzgerald from Over The Cap making a genuine case for his trade on X. He saw it as a troll.

This means Tyreek Hill is staying with the Miami Dolphins—for now, until he accepts Micah Parsons’ request. On a lighter note, that hat was a nice touch from Hill. Did Keeta Vaccaro gift him that while they were vacationing in Colorado? Possible.

Mike McDaniel’s take on Tyreek Hill’s trade rumors

Let’s keep Hill aside for a moment and focus on the ongoing NFL team owners’ meeting at the sunny beaches of Palm in Florida. Their entourage included the head coaches, general managers, and a few other front office people to discuss important stuff, like banning the tush-push.

Even if Hill was nowhere near the meeting site, the reporters were keen to scribble down the latest trade scoop on the 8x Pro Bowler. Among them was Miami Herald’s Isaiah Smalls II. The Dolphins’ head honcho Mike McDaniel quickly shut down all the rumors in one fell swoop.

I can certainly say with certainty that at this certain moment [Hill won’t be traded]. We are fully planning to move forward for a better version of our relationship with Tyreek.

Mike McDaniel said when asked about Tyreek Hill’s trade away from the Dolphins

Rejoice, Dolphins fans, the Cheetah isn’t going anywhere, and to further clarify on the ‘peace’ emoji tweets, McDaniel added that Hill loves to joke around on social media.

Tyreek is known for whatever antics on social media. I can say with certainty at this certain moment that we are fully planning to move forward with Tyreek on the team this coming season & I expect a great version of him in 2025.

Mike McDaniel said

Well, Hill wasn’t in the prankster mood after the Dolphins’ final-day loss to AFC East rivals the New York Jets. After skipping out on the Dolphins’ official press conference, Hill spoke to Herald’s Omar Kelly. He was ready to quit the team.

I’m about to open up that door for myself… I’m out, bruh. It was great playing here, but at the end of the day, I have to do what’s best for my career. I’m too much of a competitor to just be out there.

Tyreek Hill said after the Dolphins missed out on the playoffs in 2024

Hill later publicly admitted that frustration got the better of him after failing to touch 1000 receiving yards after back-to-back 1700+ yard seasons with the Dolphins.

What y’all had heard at the end of the season was frustration. I’ve been winning my whole life.

Tyreek Hill said

The fin fans would be praying that Hill sticks around until his contract is valid with the Dolphins. He’s entering the second year of his three-year, $90M deal. However, if the Dolphins fail to conjure a good season, then perhaps it would be the end of the Super Bowl winner in South Beach.
