Until Tyreek Hill was with the Kansas City Chiefs, he was highly credited for their success as they went in two Super Bowl appearances with him on the roster. But the Chiefs proved they didn’t need him for the success– winning two back-to-back Super Bowl trophies. 

On the other side, Hill established himself as the fastest player in the league while chasing 2,000 receiving yards this past season with the Miami Dolphins. With the trade being successful on both sides, Hill hasn’t really talked about the departure from the reigning Super Bowl champion. 

Until now. Just recently, the star wide receiver opened up about the tough time he faced after his former team’s victory at the Super Bowl right after his departure. And now, Hill shared his feelings when his designated jersey number 10 at the Chiefs was given to running back Isiah Pacheco.

In a recent appearance on the Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast, the Dolphins receiver praised the Chiefs running back, calling him a “dawg” but also admitted feeling disrespected when his old jersey number was given to Pacheco. 

I did feel disrespected when they gave him 10 though. I didn’t like that. There’s only one 10 now. There should only be one 10 in your heart.

Trading the 10-time Pro Bowler to the Dolphins and possessing the weakest receiving squad after him, the Chiefs have repeatedly proved they didn’t need a strong receiver up front with elite quarterback Patrick Mahomes for the team’s success. And they continue to do so as they chase the three-peat.

Even though Hill has established himself as one of the top players in the league, there might still be doubts regarding his name among the all-time greats. The receiver himself calls himself the fastest player in the player or “cheetah” and when that’s said, many perceive it more as his arrogance than confidence. 

And that often put the receiver under scrutiny for his performances in crucial games. Just like it was when the Dolphins faced up against the Chiefs in the wild-card round of the playoffs.

Unfortunately, the game ended with an embarrassing loss for the Dolphins as the Chiefs advanced to the AFC conference game with a 26-7 victory. Hill finished the game with just five receptions, 62 receiving yards, and one score.
