The Miami Dolphins are facing major question marks about their 2025 season after opening with a 0-3 start. The most obvious question that keeps resurfacing is the future of star wideout Tyreek Hill, especially if they continue to lose games.

There are rumors of his former team, the Kansas City Chiefs, as well as the Pittsburgh Steelers, who seem to have an interest in trading for the 31-year-old receiver.

Those rumors received a boost after his Week 1 sideline meltdown, which seemed to suggest he is frustrated beyond comprehension and might soon ask to be traded.

In Week 2, his reaction to a reporter’s question again indicated that he might be hiding his true feelings amidst their disappointing start to the season.

Then in Week 3, the Dolphins’ first-half performance indicated there was some light at the end of the tunnel after they matched score-for-score with the Buffalo Bills.

Despite their best efforts, they could not close the game, and their opponents ensured their home fans left Highmark Stadium on a high. After the game, reporters asked Tyreek Hill for a reaction to their 0-3 start.

Things aren’t going to always go your way. It’s all about how you want to be remembered. Do you want to be the 0-3 team that, ‘Hey, are we just going to throw in the towel, and just say we are over with it?’ Or are we going to be remembered as the team that started 0-3 and found a way to turn it around?

Tyreek Hill replied, as captured by CBS Miami’s Mike Cugno

This philosophical reply was Tyreek Hill dipping into his inner Aristotle. He is trying to find the silver lining and run with it, rather than have another meltdown, which would be a distraction for himself and his team.

Tyreek Hill’s head coach deflects blame from Tua Tagovailoa

One of the reasons Tyreek Hill’s reactions are always under scrutiny is that everyone wants to know the status of his relationship with quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.

The Super Bowl champion receiver has previously asked to be relieved from the team, as he was not happy with the Hawaiian’s performances. In their game against the Buffalo Bills, it was Tagovailoa’s late-game interception that stopped the Dolphins from having a crack at a win.

The Alabama alum was trying to get the ball to wideout Jaylen Waddle, but the Bills’ Terrel Bernard jumped the route to pick it off. When head coach Mike McDaniel was asked about the interception, he replied:

I wanted to protect the ball. I think the QB has to be responsible for it. However, I wish I could just put it on him. It’s a tough job to do when there’s someone in your face. Everybody needs to do better.

Mike McDaniel replied to reporters after loss to Bills

It seems the 42-year-old head coach does not want to place the full blame on Tua Tagovailoa, considering he was facing a sack. However, he still insisted that everyone has to do their job better, considering they drove up the field only to gift the ball back to their opponents.

6-time Pro Bowler offers his services as Dolphins’ hype-man

After their disappointing 0-3 start to this season, there are concerns that the Miami Dolphins players are low on morale and need something or someone to give them a spark. Former All-Pro wide receiver and Miami native Chad Johnson offered his services.

I’m going on a limb right now. We are going to win this game, cause I’m finna be like Gillie. I’m finna be the hype man for this game… I’m coming out of the tunnel with the Dolphins, I don’t care what Mike McDaniel say, I don’t care what Stephen Ross say. They need me.

Chad Johnson said on Nightcap

The former Bengals star did have an opportunity to play for his hometown team. But an arrest forced the franchise to part ways during training camp. He now wants to make this right and mimic Gillie Da Kid‘s influence on the Super Bowl-winning Philadelphia Eagles on his Dolphins.
