Tyreek Hill intentionally disrespects Tua Tagovailoa by rating Baker Mayfield above him
Dolphins' Tyreek Hill named Mahomes, Allen, Lamar Jackson, Burrow, and Baker Mayfield as his top five NFL quarterbacks—leaving out his own teammate, Tua Tagovailoa.

Does Tyreek Hill really want to be traded? His latest top-five quarterback list has a hidden hint that points in that direction.
While speaking with his fans on a live stream, Hill revealed the updated version of his top 5 quarterback list. His list included Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, Baker Mayfield, and Joe Burrow, but in no particular order.
Social media was in chaos after seeing the names. The players on the list didn’t bother the fans too much; it’s the quarterback who wasn’t on it that raised all the questions.
Where is Tua Tagovailoa? Why did Tyreek Hill omit his Miami Dolphins teammate?

Everyone in Miami sings hymns of the Dolphins duo, and all of a sudden, Hill excludes Tua? It doesn’t make much sense, especially because the veteran enshrined the Alabama graduate on his list the previous two occasions.
In the middle of January this year, Hill compiled a top-five QB list that included Jared Goff and Dak Prescott, while Tua topped the charts.
A year ago, he snubbed both Allen and Burrow. It seems Hill shuffles around his list depending on who he believes are the best quarterbacks in the league at that specific timeline.
So, assuming that’s the line of thinking Hill has taken to form his list, then it could only mean he doesn’t view Tagovailoa as a top-five quarterback at the moment.
Does subbing Tua Tagovailoa indicate that Tyreek Hill is hoping for a trade?
2024 was a bad year for Hill. The opening day arrest jinxed his entire year. Tagovailoa suffered his third concussion since college, and the Dolphins tested three different quarterbacks under center. By the time Tua was out of the protocol, the Dolphins’ season was mathematically over.

Qualification for a third consecutive playoff slipped out of their hands after finishing second in the AFC East behind Allen’s Bills. On the final day, Hill suffered a meltdown and demanded a trade.
This is my first time I haven’t been in the playoffs. I mean, for me, like I said, man, I just gotta do what’s best for me and my family… If that’s here, or whatever the case may be, man. I’m going to open the door for myself… I’m opening the door. Like I’m out.

Even though Hill later backtracked on his words, his statement spooked the Dolphins brass enough to inquire whether he was okay to continue in Miami until his contract runs out in 2027. General manager Chris Grier assured the Dolphins’ nation that the 31-year-old is here to stay.
Grier may be breathing a sigh of relief, but his words have yet to put a lid on all the trade talks. Blogging With the Boys, Brian Martin, in a recent article linked Hill to the Dallas Cowboys.
Okay, we only mention Tyreek Hill because there have been rumors circulating throughout the offseason that he could be traded. He’d no doubt upgrade the Cowboys’ receiving corps and be a near-perfect pairing for CeeDee Lamb; however, the draft capita it would take to acquire him and the salary Dallas would have to take on makes this trade unlikely. We can’t rule out anything with Jerry Jones, but again, this trade seems highly unlikely to happen.
Brian Martin wrote
Hill undoubtedly had his worst year in pro football (full season) last campaign. He only caught 81 passes for 959 yards and 6 touchdowns while appearing in all 17 games for the Dolphins.
