Tyreek Hill’s exit rumors picked up steam following the Miami Dolphins’ final game of the 2024 season, linking him with a return to the Kansas City Chiefs to play with Patrick Mahomes. The Mahomes and Hill partnership was deadly while it lasted in the NFL, winning the franchise’s first Super Bowl since 1969 in 2020.
Hill made his intentions clear of leaving the Dolphins, giving an ultimatum through an interview even though signing a new contract before the season began. The 30-year-old’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, defended the receiver and claimed that he was committed to the Dolphins.
A video recently surfaced on social media of Hill selecting his Top 10 quarterback list. Judging from the interface, the video was recorded on TikTok, which is set to shut down in the USA. The video may contain the answer to Hill’s next destination.
To kick off the clip, Hill placed NFL MVP candidates Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen in second and third spots. Then came the surprise inclusion of Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott at four, even though he barely played in 2024. Noticeably, Hill placed Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa at the top.

One by one, Hill selected Jared Goff, Kyler Murray, and Jayden Daniels, but one person was missing. It was baffling that he left out Patrick Mahomes completely from the list.
Tyreek Hill’s list of Top 10 quarterbacks in the NFL:
- Tua Tagovailoa
- Lamar Jackson
- Josh Allen
- Dak Prescott
- Jared Goff
- Brock Purdy
- Jalen Hurts
- Kirk Cousins
- Jayden Daniels
- Bo Nix
Keeping Tagovailoa at the top and excluding Mahomes points to Hill having moved away from the idea of joining the Chiefs.
Tyreek Hill to Kansas City Chiefs makes sense
Even if the story has died down in the last few days after Rosenhaus’ statement, it’s not out of the realm of possibilities that Hill might ask for a trade during the offseason. The Chiefs will be back in the frame once more.
Bleacher Report’s Kristopher Knox floated the idea that the Chiefs are the perfect place for Hill.
Knox proposed a second-round pick in return might be a fair deal. Hill’s base salary in 2025 will be $10 million, which will balloon to $30 million in 2026, so it makes sense for the Dolphins to cut their loss now rather than waiting for the June 1 deadline.
The Chiefs have $29 million in cap space after the end of the current season and a history of signing former players makes it more reasonable for Hill to go back to Kansas City.
