The off-field battles are proving to be just as hard as the on-field struggles for the Miami Dolphins star wideout, Tyreek Hill. The former Super Bowl champion and five-time Pro Bowler found himself paying his former wife paying more than five hundred thousand dollars at once in addition to a monthly spending money amid divorce proceedings.

Tyreek Hill, who was formerly associated with Crystal Espinal and Camille Valmon, married Keeta Vaccaro, the sister of a former NFL safety, in 2023. Vaccaro gave birth to their first child, a baby girl. The relationship took a turn for the worse in April 2025 when Vaccaro’s mother called the police on Hill accusing him of domestic violence. A day later, Vaccaro filed for divorce from the wideout.

The key details of the divorce proceedings emerged recently. Reportedly, Hill should provide his ex-wife, Vaccaro, with $20,000–$50,000 per month in spending money plus a $500,000 one-time payment. It doesn’t stop there; Hill must also cover her legal fees and provide her with another hundred thousand dollars for a new car after denying her use of his Bentley Bentayga.

Furthermore, the current numbers are supposed to serve as the status quo during the time of the divorce proceedings. These would ideally be replaced with a final settlement, potentially costing millions more.

The controversial wideout has a history of violence. Almost eleven years ago, his 20-year-old pregnant girlfriend of the time, Espinal, filed a case against Hill for physically abusing her and treating her like a rag doll.

Hill eventually confessed to the crime and was sentenced to three years of probation, an anger-management course, a year-long batterer’s program, in addition to a mandatory domestic-abuse evaluation. He was also accused of child abuse in 2019.

The 2025 season is make-or-break for the Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill

Tyreek Hill is entering the new season facing one of the most intense scrutinies in his entire career. Hill, who was once a feared playmaker and a crucial piece of a Super Bowl-winning offense, is a shadow of his past form.

Last season, Hill’s production dipped below 1,000 yards last season for the first time in years, raising questions about whether the 31-year-old can still dominate. In 2024, Hill ended the season with 959 yards from 81 receptions and six touchdowns while starting all seventeen games for the South Florida team.

ESPN’s annual Top 100 players projection highlighted those concerns. Hill, who was ranked eighth last year, fell sharply to No. 47 in this year’s list. The rankings, compiled by 10 NFL executives, assess expected performance for the upcoming season. Dolphins reporter Marcel Louis-Jacques noted that Hill’s decline should “certainly motivate him,” but also pointed out that the veteran is coming off “one of the worst seasons of his career.”

Hill battled through a lingering wrist injury suffered in joint practice last August and struggled to reestablish rhythm late in the year. His connection with quarterback Tua Tagovailoa also appeared strained, something both players must address if Miami hopes to return to contention.

Despite leaving a recent practice with an oblique strain, Hill’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, assured fans he will be ready for Week 1 against the Indianapolis Colts. There’s no question that this season could prove to be a turning point in Hill’s career.
