Tyreek Hill got his wish fulfilled as the Miami Dolphins wide receiver signed a new deal that will keep him in South Beach until his 35. Hill now has a chip on his shoulder to deliver for the Dolphins.

Just a day after becoming the NFL Network’s #1 player, the Dolphins announced the extension for Hill. According to ESPN’s Marcel Louis-Jacques and Adam Schefter, Hill signed a 3-year $90 million deal ($30 million a year), including $65 million guaranteed.

The 8-time pro bowler’s agents Drew Rosenhaus and Jason Rosenhaus further negotiated a $106.5 million fully guaranteed, making it the highest ever for a receiver in the NFL. Hill joined quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, wideout Jaylen Waddle, and Braxton Berrios, who received new deals in the offseason.

Social media reactions to Tyreek Hill’s new $30 million annual contract with the Dolphins

When the string of receivers began signing new deals with their respective teams after the Super Bowl, Rosenhaus revealed Hill spoke with the Dolphins and asked them to pay him as well. The all-pro wideout had a four-year $120 million deal contract with the Miami franchise when he joined them in 2022.

However, in reality, it was only three years of $75 million ($25 million a year), which was significantly lower than both the Eagles’ AJ Brown and the Lions’ Amon-Ra St. Brown’s $33 million and $30.02 million, respectively. The Dolphins smartly added $45 million in bonuses for the fourth year, which they could have easily scrapped if both parties terminated the contract.

However, in the meantime, Hill declared that he wanted to end his career with the Dolphins. His eagerness doubled after the Vikings gave Justin Jefferson a $35 million-a-year extension.

While Hill will earn less compared to all three of them, he can now count himself as a top earner. As per Over The Cap, the Super Bowl winner jumped from 8th to 4th highest-paid receiver in the league, which, for obvious reasons, did not sit well with the football fans.

He was already in their sights for pipping Patrick Mahomes to become the NFL’s best accolade, and now the new deal has increased the barrage of verbal attacks on social media. In their view, despite the increased money, he has to spend most of it on child support.

Hill’s used to this. He promised the Dolphins fans to give his all for them to win a Super Bowl.

He and the Dolphins will begin their three pre-season roundups by welcoming the Atlanta Falcons to the Hard Rock Stadium, which suffered great damage during the final of Copa America.
