Tyreek Hill realized it was going to be a topsy-turvy season for the Miami Dolphins early on after quarterback Tua Tagovailoa suffered a concussion. However, the Dolphins still had the opportunity to qualify for the playoffs even with an 8-8 record on the final day of the season.
Vegas favored the Dolphins to win over their miserable divisional rivals, the New York Jets, and increase their chances of continuing to play football in January. However, they ended up losing 20-32 as Tagovailoa’s replacement Tyler Huntley, threw 2 interceptions, and the Dolphins turned the ball over five times.
Their fate was sealed elsewhere as the Denver Broncos decimated AFC top seed the Kansas City Chiefs 0-38 at home. Reporters flocked near Tyreek Hill, who only caught 2 passes for 20 yards, inside the Dolphins locker room post-game for a reaction. Hill clearly looked unhappy with the result and how the season in general panned out for the team.
This is the first time I haven’t been in the playoffs. For me, I have to do what’s best for me and my family.
Tyreek Hill said via Omar Kelly of the Miami Herald.
Even though Hill previously said several times that he and his family love Miami and he would like to finish his career with the Dolphins, the veteran who wants to add to his only Super Bowl ring revealed he might be done at South Beach.
[If it’s] here or wherever the case may be. I’m finna open that door for myself, I’m opening the door. I’m out. It was great playing here.
Tyreek Hill said.
Might be over between Tyreek Hill and Dolphins

Tyreek Hill doubles down on leaving Miami Dolphins
Hill already relinquished the idea of replicating the 1799 yards he recorded in 2023, midway through the year. He eventually finished the current campaign with 81 receptions for 959 yards (lowest numbers since his Super Bowl year with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2019, but he was injured and missed four games until the postseason).

It will not surprise anyone if the 8x Pro Bowler requests a trade, and after his post-game tweet, he might do it sooner rather than later.
Love fin nation blessing yall opened doors for the Hill family forever nothing ,but respect and love.

Hill restructured his contract earlier in the season, which ends in 2026. He will have a $27.7 million cap hit in 2025, but the figure can change if he asks for a trade. If the Dolphins release him or a trade takes place before June 1, then the Dolphins get a dead cap hit of $28.3 million.
