Tyreek Hill is not gone after all. There is still optimism in the air for Dolphins fans as the wideout’s agent has confirmed that he expects him to return to the franchise next season.

This comes days after Hill expressed his frustration with the team’s losing tendencies in his post-game interview and hinted at considering his options in the off-season.

Drew Rosenhaus, Tyreek Hill‘s agent, revealed some new details regarding his health and contract situation on The Pat McAfee Show earlier today. Turns out, Hill played this season with a broken wrist which he sustained during a scrimmage against the Washington Commanders before the season commenced.

Hill did not want to undergo surgery as it would have resulted in him missing the season and chose to play through the injury.

Tyreek Hill broke his wrist in a scrimmage against the Commanders in training camp. We had top wrist doctors saying to Tyreek, ‘You need to get this operated on, you’re going to miss the season…’ He wasn’t gonna miss the season and he wanted to play.

Drew Rosenhaus said

The receiver risked his health against the advice of medical professionals who explained to him that he may be causing permanent damage by playing this year.

Tyreek Hill has had fruitful conversations with Miami’s GM and HC

With this context, it makes sense why Hill was struggling this season. Apart from the fact that Tua Tagovailoa missed a few games, the wideout missed a few catches that he never would have and wound up with 959 yards on 81 receptions. He reached a breaking point when the team continued to lose, even though he was playing through a painful injury.

Rosenhaus attributed Hill’s post-game interview as a byproduct of mere frustration.

Tyreek Hill was emotional after the game and the guys on the Dolphins know he’s a great competitor. We represent thirteen guys on this team and not one of them has a complain about Tyreek…Anyone that I’ve represented was passionate, they cared.

Drew Rosenhaus added

He then went on to add that Hill spoke to General Manager Chris Grier and Head Coach Mike McDaniel, and expressed his commitment to the Dolphins franchise.

This should put an end to the speculation surrounding Tyreek Hill’s future for the time being. Mike McDaniel was not happy with him as Hill refused to enter the game in the fourth quarter of the game.

As Rosenhaus stated, they have sorted out the differences now, and moving forward, the Dolphins need not worry about Tyreek Hill as he is their best asset.
