Up until last year, Tyreek Hill was leading all wide receivers in average salary per year. Since then, three receivers have overtaken the Miami Dolphins superstar and set new records in terms of pay. Hill, being one of the best in the league, was naturally expected to get a get a raise to something that matches his league leading efforts. That being said, the former Super Bowl champion has another priority running on his mind.
Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 caught up with the speedy receiver while he was training in Houston. Wilson popped the question about Hill again getting a league high contract, to which he said:
Oh yeah, for sure, so very excited for that man. But the real goal is to win the Super Bowl. It’s cool to get paid and all that but, you know being able to win a Super Bowl and bring something special to the city of Miami. Something that can live with us forever. I believe that’s very monumental for all of us. Create greatness, man.Tyreek Hill said
The wideout has tasted Super Bowl success before with the Kansas City Chiefs. But he wants the city of Miami to get their hands on the Vince Lombardi trophy.
Hill could most likely get the largest yearly average salary for a wide receiver from his new contract. However, he knows his legacy will always have the Asterix that he was traded away from the Kansas City Chiefs. They then went on to win two back-to-back Super Bowls and are looking to be the first franchise in history to 3-peat.
The NFL receiving yards leader wants to win one with the Dolphins to make things even. Only then can he rest easy, knowing that he made his own mark by being the best in the league for a long time.
Tyreek Hill has a Dolphins team ready to win that Super Bowl
Last season, the Miami Dolphins showed the footballing world that they can be dominant. However, as the season progressed, cracks showed up in their game, which other teams began to exploit.
That also ended their Super Bowl intentions early. However, this season, they are aiming to go the full distance.

Not only have they made noteworthy additions to the squad, but the players are experienced with what can go wrong. That is the first step to figuring out how to deal with the mistakes. More importantly, making adjustments to change those mistakes to positives. Hill knows the offense is going to be spectacular.
Meanwhile, the Dolphins have made progress on the defensive side as well, suggesting that Tyreek Hill’s goal of winning a Super Bowl can finally come to becoming a reality. Then he can celebrate his additional millions in the best way he can.
