The Indiana Pacers were defeated by the Boston Celtics after a nail-biting encounter between the two teams in game 1 of the Eastern Conference Playoff Finals. Notably, Tyrese Haliburton of the Pacers has been making rounds on the internet despite being on the losing side of the match.

However, this is due to Haliburton scoring a breathtaking 3-pointer just before half-time to level the game. Not only that, Haliburton also uttered the words, “it’s good” while taking the shot from the logo at the TD Garden.

Interestingly, the Pacers trailed 64-61 with only a few seconds left before halftime. Haliburton opted to change that quickly, launching a 3-pointer from the Celtics logo in the middle of the court and nailing the shot to tie the game before the buzzer.

On the contrary, the Boston Celtics and their star duo Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown completely outperformed the Pacers. Tatum dropped 36 points and 12 rebounds and Brown scored 26 points and gathered 7 rebounds against the Pacers.

With 1:02 left in overtime and Indiana behind 124-123, Jrue Holiday of the Celtics pushed Haliburton into a key turnover. Tatum hit a three on the Celtics’ next possession, and the Pacers did not receive the ball again while within one possession, which ended with the Celtics clinching game 1.

Jrue Holiday of the Boston Celtics had one of his best games against the Indiana Pacers in game 1 of the Eastern Conference Playoff Finals. He dropped 28 points and also gathered 8 rebounds against the Pacers. Not only that, he also defended brilliantly against Pacers star man, Tyrese Haliburton.

Haliburton was amazed by Holiday and praised him for his stellar performance, calling him the best defender in the NBA.

He's the best defender in the NBA and has been for a long time. ... I'll learn from it, and I'll be better in Game 2.
