After Team USA won the gold medal game against France at the 2024 Olympics, celebrations kicked off in the locker room. As the players celebrated their victory, Tyrese Haliburton joined in with an expensive champagne. However, he quickly found himself without a clue on how to open the wine, prompting Devin Booker to make jokes out of it.
A trending video making the rounds on the internet shows Haliburton holding the champagne bottle inside the USA dressing room. The hilarious clip was shared by his teammate Devin Booker on Instagram. In the video, Booker could be heard asking the Indiana Pacers star repeatedly, “You know what to do with that?” And to which he responded, “Not a clue.”
The video has generated tons of reactions from fans, with some people having a good laugh over the response given by Tyrese Haliburton. While others have trolled Booker over his questions, saying he too doesn’t know how to open the champagne. According to the latter group, the Phoenix Suns star has no experience in popping champagne as he’s never won a championship before.
While it’s true that the NBA stars haven’t won a league title with their respective teams, there’s no denying the fact they are both Olympic gold medalists. Moreover, Booker put in good performances on his part to help the USA to a fifth consecutive gold medal. The 27-year-old is a two-time gold medalist himself, starting all six games at the Paris Olympics and averaging 11.7 points per game.
Devin Booker believes NBA title tougher to win than Olympic gold
Despite participating in two Olympics and winning two gold medals, Devin Booker believes that the NBA is more difficult to win. He asserts his reason is based on the fact that the league attracts the best talents in world basketball. According to him, the difficulty level as a result of these top players is higher than the Olympic Games.
I feel like all the best talent in the world is in the NBA, and this is coming from an Olympic gold medalist (who believes) that being an NBA champion is probably harder to do.Devin Booker said in an interview after the gold medal win
With the USA men’s basketball team winning five consecutive gold medals, including a decades-old dominance on the world stage, it feels all too easy for Booker. And given the fact he’s achieved success in just only two outings, it’s not hard to see why he believes so.
