The Indiana Pacers defeated the New York Knicks in game 7 to knock them out of the NBA playoffs. The Knicks led the second-round series 2-0, but the Pacers recovered and advanced to the Eastern Conference finals for the first time since 2014. Notably, Pacers’ Tyrese Haliburton garnered all the attention for his performance and his post-match antiques in game 7.
Firstly, Tyrese Haliburton sent the New York Knicks packing. Then, on his way out, he also trolled them at every opportunity. Haliburton wore a hoodie depicting Reggie Miller‘s notorious choking gesture during his postgame news conference after guiding his Indiana Pacers to a 130-109 victory against the Knicks in Game 7 of the NBA playoff series.
In the post-match press conference, Haliburton was asked regarding the hoodie.
I'm just wearing a hoodie. I'd like to be comfy on the plane. I got this hoodie 2 days ago. Appreciate whoever gave it to meTyrese Haliburton at the post match presser
On the sports side of things, Knicks’ star man Jalen Brunson had an off night in particular, managing to score only 16 points in a do-or-die game against the Pacers. On the other hand, Pacers’ Tyrese Haliburton was immense for his side, dropping 26 points, 6 assists, and 4 rebounds on the Knicks.
Reggie Miller trolls the Knicks after game 7 defeat to Pacers
The NY Knicks and their star man Jalen Brunson were sent packing home by the Indiana Pacers in game 7 of the NBA playoffs. Notably, former Pacers’ great, Reggie Miller seemed to enjoy this result the most as he even took to social media to take a dig at the Knicks and their players.
When the series CHANGED!! Jalen Brunson you’re a true BALLER, been the best player in these playoffs, but you and your boys can all heal up together on some beautiful beaches in Cancun, please enjoy!!Reggie Miller on Instagram
Interestingly, Miller memorably tallied 25 points during the 4th quarter of Game 5 in the 1994 Eastern Conference Finals versus the Knicks. This allowed his side, the Pacers to come back from a double-digit deficit and take a 3-2 series lead. However, Miller will be hoping that his Pacers side do the unthinkable and defeat the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference Playoff Finals.
